Brannon gives details concerning a recent Glenn Beck program that he believes provides good evidence of a major shift taking place within evangelicalism. He noted how German Christians began to set aside their theology and doctrine and began to embrace the higher criticism of Julius Wellhausen who believed that human reason was above the Bible.  Eventually they united under a bishop hand-picked by Adolph Hitler. Brannon believes that a similar movement is happening today as many evangelical Christians question the authority of Scripture via philosophies like theistic evolution, mysticism, gnosticism, post-modernism and uncritical tolerance.  It’s within this questioning atmosphere that some evangelical Christian leaders are creating allegiances with individuals like Beck, who embrace an alternative worldview, in an effort to supposedly storm the gates of Hell. In support of this premise, Brannon presented audio clips from Glenn Beck’s program that aired this past Friday, a program that featured Rabbi Daniel Lapin, Historian David Barton, James Robison, and former Vietnam Vet Dave Roever.  Brannon noted that if we’re going to reclaim America, it won’t be accomplished by setting aside our theology and doctrine and becoming more ecumenical; instead what we must do is reclaim our churches and preach the gospel.

She also holds to the word faith teaching of a continued gospel payment after the cross; Jesus paid the price, completing it in hell. While many of these teachings are not often seen on TV, they are the foundation for everything else she teaches. His PEACE plan is open to anyone and everyone, even atheists. For a Christian, unity has to be based on the teachings of Scripture not on uniting with others who oppose Christ to do generic good works. This is forming a globalization of Religions (he calls 'Faiths'), uniting with the secular, with political organizations, building a unity as they did in Babylon. This introduces Humanism as the common denominator for unity. In this video we answer why Warren’s fig leaf P.E.A.C.E plan produces works without fruit and misleads the church off the narrow road we are to be on. One cannot understand the modern miracle revivals or healing crusades of Benny Hinn, Rodney Browne (laughter), Toronto, Brownsville, or Todd Bentley without referring to the healing revivals of the 40’s-50’s.that were steered and popularized by William Branham. Nearly all the practices of today's apostles, Prophets, healers, faith ministries, are being copied. Visits by angels and the Lord Jesus, words of knowledge (telling people where people live and secrets of their lives), new revelations were all part of William Branham’s ministry operation. One can trace portions of  the revivals in our modern era back to him. The Latter Rain teachings began by Branham and spread to so many. Branham believed he was born with a personal angel that was a gift. But he did not think of it as such until he was converted and went to church. This gave him an answer to a disembodied voice (spirit) that accompanied him from birth and instructed him through life, telling him future events and diagnosing peoples diseases. The video is filled with audio and video on crucial teachings of Branham (and others that admire him) that show that his angel was in charge of the supernatural taking place. What I wanted to do with this article is put the issue of dominion to rest by studying the definition the Bible gives to dominion and ruling authority.  When we look at the subject we can easily ascertain what is going on today and what God requires of the Church.

Shepherd Or Hireling?

The Bible lays out the definitions of both an overseer (under shepherd) and a hireling.  John 10:11-13  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. (KJV)  1 Tim. 3:1-3   Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. (NIV)  Titus 1:7-13  Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Even one of their own prophets has said, "Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons." This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith. (NIV) A hireling does not really care about being a watchman, but is more concerned with protecting his reputation, position and income.  A true watchman will guard the flock against wolves from within (Acts 20:30) and without (Acts 20:29) no matter the cost to his reputation, position or income. Following is a little quiz you can take to see if you are a true Biblical under shepherd as a leader in your church, are becoming a hireling, or are one now.
