Way back in 1976 C. Peter Wagner had already expressed a foundation of sand upon which his entire "apostolic" kingdom is built. To back up his notions, he and his friends such as John Wimber, Paul Cain and many others began to get the cart before the horse. They tried to create revival where there was none with unbiblical and even heretical ideas. They imported occult ideas from false religions into the churches, such as "slain in the spirit" and called the results "revival". The means they used were the counterfeit revivals of the Word Of Faith Movement, the Vineyard movement, the Toronto "Blessing", the Brownsville "Outpouring" and on down the line to latest Todd Bentley "Lakeland Revival". The proof that the means have all been unjustifiable is in the unjustifiable ends. Lakeland has now come to an apparent abrupt end due to false healing and dead raising claims, many false teachings, a false "transferable" anointing, and sexual misconduct. Yet the leadership of the New Apostolic Reformation has not even been slowed by yet another bad end brought about by the self-destruction of the means. There is a new phenomenon especially among some island churches where handkerchiefs are being handed around a congregation claiming that they have an anointing that can cause people to be healed and other miraculous things happen to them. The problem with this idea is especially evident in two things: (1) that this can and is being considered by many to be Christian magic and (2) that it is being taught as being something that should be a normal part of the Christian experience. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
When the
Lord tells us to be salt and light, He states both
the positive and the negative. That is the way
with all Scripture. We can’t just take the
positive and be done with the subject. We have
to consider all the ramifications of being salt and
light. Salt is used to season food and make it
taste good. It was and still is used as a
preservative. In the same way Christians are
to be salt in the world. Without the witness
of Christ, without standing for the truth, life is
ultimately tasteless and rotten. Anyone here
who was a sinner for any length of time without the
Savior knows what I am talking about. But the
flip side is that salt can lose its saltiness.
Christians can lose their saltiness by diluting the
Gospel message to the point where it is
useless. Let me give you an example of a
washed out Gospel often preached in churches
today.

Leviathan

Speaking of the “day of the Lord”, when the Lord comes back again to rule and judge the earth, Isaiah says that the Lord will punish Leviathan the dragon. Satan is likened to leviathan, a serpent, and he is said to live in the sea.
Revelation 13:1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. (NASB)
Again the dragon comes out of the sea, which is symbolic of the nations of the world, but perhaps is also tied to a literal meaning. He has multiple heads which are symbolic of the heads of the nations of the end times, but he is also said to have multiple heads before the symbolism of the nations of the revived Babylon come into being, as recorded in Ps. 74:14 and Job.

False teachers conduct surveys to see what non-believers are looking for in a "church" and then provide those things. Jude 1:1-2 Jude, a servant of Jesus
Christ and a brother of James, To those who have

But it is significant that he calls himself the
brother of James. Jude wants everyone to know that,

servant of Jesus. I’m sure there were those who
tried to idolize him for being the brother of Jesus
Christ. If he had the character of some of the
current large crop of false teachers, he would have
written “Jude, the brother of Jesus Christ.” I’m
sure if some of these modern heretics could trace
their roots back to Christ, they would use that
information to get support for themselves and power
over people. But Jude does just the opposite. He
calls himself the servant of Jesus Christ. He is
addressing this letter to those who have been
called, and who are loved by God the Father and kept
by Jesus Christ. So he is addressing this letter to
Christians. God has called every true believer.

vs. Interactive-style Christianity

Theirsears are tickled by guest speakers who make up sermons out of their own imaginations instead of the written Word. They are entertainedwith gold dust, gold fillings, "angel" feathers, "angel" footprints, drunk in the spirit antics, and during these displays they can go outand get a latte and a snack at the church snack bar. They come into these mega churches and leave without being personally challengedother than with tired worldly psychology, and without anyone being able to find out what they are doing in their private lives. A smallpercentage attend "cell groups" where they are diapraxed into consensus instead of challenged to be Bereans and think and act forthemselves. They live like the world during the week, then come to church where the world is not only welcomed but accommodated.

Those who love drunk in the spirit are no exception. Saturate 2020 is another in a long line of Latter Rain revivals which do not meet the criteria of a Biblical revival at all (Acts 3:19). The Toronto “Blessing” and Brownsville “Revival” both came into towns all over the world with the promise that people were getting saved and nothing weird was going on at their meetings. This was always a lie as the true Gospel was not preached but instead people were invited forward to have hands laid on them in order to transfer an impartation. Meanwhile false doctrines were laid down in order to get people involved in churches like Bethel Church in Redding, CA. We are warned in Scripture about this.Galatians 2:4 But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage.
2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
The fact that some formerly Biblical churches have joined this circus is a testament to their lack of teaching discernment. Some of these denominations were warned repeatedly about the Latter Rain, Word of Faith and the New Apostolic Reformation yet they apparently wanted to remain “willfully ignorant”. The people advertised as being involved with this latest “revival” are almost all associated with Bethel in some way and promoters of what they teach. This is not a true Biblical revival but rather a revival of the occult and New Age among Christians. This meeting is actually hurting the cause of Christ and will not have any real beneficial effect on the culture of California, which has turned decidedly evil for decades. These Dominionists
will not be saving the planet, but are rather setting people up for the coming antichrist. Nor will they rid the world of coronavirus, but rather likely add to it.

Should Biblical Churches Be Christocentric?

Should biblical Christian churches be Christ-centered (Christocentric)? Should the doctrines of the Father (Patriology) and the Holy Spirit (Pnematology) also be equally emphasized? Can a church be Patriocentric or Pnemacentric and be biblical?
The answer to these questions are quite simple from a biblical perspective. There have been charges leveled at some movements such as the Pietist Movement in Germany and other movements that they place too much emphasis on Christ to the exclusion of the Father and the Holy Spirit. This may be true to a certain degree. The doctrines of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit must be taught with equal emphasis so that Christians will know what they believe.
But should
a church be Patriocentric or Pnemacentric?
No. For instance, there are far too many
churches today, having been influenced by
hyper-Pentecostalism and the Latter Rain, that are
Pnemacentric. They spend most of their time
focusing on the Holy Spirit to the exclusion of
preaching the Gospel while, in fact, they don't even
have a biblical doctrine of the Holy Spirit. I
believe that because classic Evangelicals, to a
certain degree, dropped the ball in defining the
Person and role of the Holy Spirit it gave an opening
to Third Wavers to step in with their erroneous ideas
of Pnematology.

Is a Warning to the TRUE Church Today

Much has been made of this passage, using it to point out what is happening today in the apostate churches around the world. It is true that they believe they are rich in spiritual things when they are very poor. It can be applied in one sense to the Word of Faith movement. It is true that the "River" movement of Latter Rain teachings do think they are hot when actually they are cold.
But this letter to the end times church of Laodicea is actually talking to biblical Christians who are born again. The apostate movements of the Latter Rain, Third Wave, Toronto "Blessing", Vineyard, Brownsville "Outpouring", Word of Faith, New Apostolic Reformation, World Gathering on Indigenous People, Manifest Sons of God, Seeker Friendly, Church Growth, Emerging Church and many others have already had their lampstands removed (Rev. 2:5) because of their apostasy and have already been spit out of the Lord's mouth (Rev. 3:16). We can know this because of what the Bible says about those who teach false doctrines (1 Tim. 6:3-5, 2 Tim. 4:3) and make false prophecies (1 John 4:1). These false churches, false movements and false brethren (Gal. 2:4) are already under the judgment of the warnings of the seven letters, as all but two of the original first century churches are today (only the two who Jesus did not warn still survive today). Therefore the letters to the churches apply to those churches who have not had their lampstands removed and been spit out of the mouth of God because of heresy and false prophesy. So the warning to the true biblical churches today remains. Why is this warning significant to us?
It is significant
because, by in large, it is the
true Church today that has allowed the movements
mentioned above to infiltrate and take over the
agenda for what is called "Christianity" today.

The story of the feeding of the 5000 is found in all the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. When something is repeated in the Bible it means that it is important and is something we must try to understand. There is often a deeper meaning in sentences or stories that are repeated.
In this same
story repeated in Mark 6:34 it says:
"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had
compassion on them, because they were like sheep
without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many
things."
One of the main things that Jesus is... is
compassionate. He cares for His people. He was
compassionate then and He is still compassionate
today. Jesus came and saw the needs of the people.
So He did two things. He met their physical need of
hunger for bread, and He also met their spiritual
hunger for the bread of life. As Jesus told us in
John ... He is the bread of life. The Bible, the
Word of God, being the word of the Father and the
Son, is also the bread of life. Jesus is the
living example of the Word as it also says in John
"The Word was made flesh and lived among us".

HUMOR: Time for a rewrite of the old hymns. In this day and age of Third Wave revival movements and Word-Faith dominion, the old hymns just aren't cutting it anymore. Not only are they old fashioned musically, but the lyrics are, for the most part, particularly depressing. They talk of sin, death, repentance, the cross, the blood of Jesus and a whole host of other disgusting subjects. There are also too many lyrics in them, frankly, which takes away from the "worship" atmosphere. Repetitiveness is what we need, not dead doctrinal concepts. The old hymns are just too biblical. Give us a beat to move our feet, not concepts to move our hearts and minds!
Here is a list of some hymns that could be "upgraded" to meet the criteria of the Third Wave, Word-Faith, Latter Rain, Manifest Sons Of God, New Apostolic Reformation. First of all the Lord is bringing judgment on Israel for carrying on religious ceremony without true dedication to the Lord. They sing songs and present their offerings while harboring idols. I was reminded of how the Lord must view the heretical apostate mega church celebrations of today. There is a lot of pomp and circumstance, yet little or no obedience to the Word of God. The Lord does not look favorably upon worship of that type, no matter the hype, no matter the noise, no matter the show. He actually “hates” it.

How To Find A Good Church

Here’s how to find a good church. What you need to find is a church that not only has orthodox doctrinal statements but teaches, both explicitly and implicitly, in line with the core doctrines of the Faith. These are Bible-believing Christ-centered churches that are balanced in their theology. Be sure to test all churches before you become involved. It is acceptable to get involved with a house church or Bible study as long as there is someone who has the gift of teaching there to lead the study of God’s Word.

The Christian life is not one to be lived alone. Trust me; I have sympathy for those who have been spiritually injured by false churches, false prophets, false teachers and false apostles. It is often a long road back from the diaprax of heresy. But to undo the brainwashing you will need help, especially from those who are already ahead of you on your journey back. The first century church was known for the following:
Acts 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
This is a good gauge to tell if you are involved in an effective assembly of believers, no matter how small. Remember that the first century churches were in homes. In my experience smaller churches are much better at doing the above and more. Avoid mega churches.

The title and cover art of this work are a play off of the book by C. Peter Wagner entitled “"Dominion! How Kingdom Action Can Change The World". In contrast to this specious claim we have titled this book “Dominionism! How Unbiblical Action Can Change The Churches". We think that is far more in keeping with what we will present in this series of articles and essays on the subject of Kingdom Now/Dominionism.
Indeed, many churches have already been changed by accepting the false teachings that constitute Dominionism. This started decades ago under Reformed Reconstrucionism and Latter Rain theology, but even before that in the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). The attempt of Constantine to protect Christians from being persecuted, since he claimed he had become one of them, turned out to begin a journey in syncretism and Dominion. It wasn’t long before corrupt church officials began to try to seize power all over Europe and beyond as the “Holy Roman Empire". The Reformation itself was a reaction to the lengths to which the RCC had gone to take control over the Scriptures, the nations, the kingdoms, and the people for financial gain. They sold indulgences, promising those who came up with enough money a much shorter time in Purgatory. Those same ploys are being used today on what has been loosely called “Christian television" by the sale of trinkets and promises of healing, financial gain and even salvation.
These ideas all coalesce in Dominionism. If it were true that the Church needs to take over the planet, then we would be seeing the unstoppable plans of God’s physical Kingdom unfolding. But we do not. All we see are failed prophecies, empty edicts and declarations coming from false apostles and false prophets. They love to fool Christians with talk of the “kingdom" when it is clear they are talking about a different “kingdom"; a Kingdom Now not a Kingdom come. Jesus taught us to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". The implication is that we are to be about building His spiritual Kingdom while praying for and expecting His physical Kingdom to come. The only way we can do that is to continue in the Great Commission till He comes, not attempt to rule where God has not given the Church the authority to rule. Jesus will do that when He returns. If we go off on the tangent the Dominionists want us to go, we will not only miss out on the blessings of His Kingdom to come, but may well be deserving of judgment.

The future of apologetics and discernment ministries

In the introduction to Mike Oppenheimer's and my book "Idolatry In Thier Hearts" I exposed the fact that Don Richardson pulled the phrase "Eternity In Thier Hearts" to use as his book title from it's context in Ecc. 3:11. He did this to support his thesis, which actually contradicts the second part of that verse, where it states that man cannot fathom what God has done. Richardson, rather, sets forth what has become the foundation for the false teachings of the WCGIP, YWAM, a number of Bible translation societies and the Emerging Church ... the propostion that men from Gentile cultures have always been seeking God and that Gentile cultures were already worshipping the true God before missionaries came with the Gospel.
But as I further investigated this verse I found that Richardson even ignored the true meaning of the FIRST half of the verse in favor of a few translations that use the phrase "eternity in their hearts".

2 Cor. 2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
There are many false teachers on TV these days who peddle the word of God for profit. They make promises of healing that do not come true by claiming if they are given a financial gift the person will receive healing and riches. When what they promised does not happen the person is blamed that they did not have enough faith. This often destroys the faith of people who fall into the traps of these snake oil salesmen. I have no problem with people charging for their materials if they cost to be produced, even though it is hoped that when a person cannot afford to pay for books and DVDs they will receive them free of charge. But the charges levied on people for conferences and speaking engagements is often excessive. A minister of God can ask for support and deserves it if they are being diligent in their study and proclamation of the Word. But experiences and feelings often come with a price today and that is not right.

HUMOR: Time for a rewrite of the old hymns. In this day and age of Third Wave revival movements and Word-Faith dominion, the old hymns just aren't cutting it anymore. Not only are they old fashioned musically, but the lyrics are, for the most part, particularly depressing. They talk of sin, death, repentance, the cross, the blood of Jesus and a whole host of other disgusting subjects. There are also too many lyrics in them, frankly, which takes away from the "worship" atmosphere. Repetitiveness is what we need, not dead doctrinal concepts. The old hymns are just too biblical. Give us a beat to move our feet, not concepts to move our hearts and minds!

Amos 5:21-27 “I hate, I reject your festivals, nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies. “Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; and I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings. “Take away from Me the noise of your songs; I will not even listen to the sound of your harps. “But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Did you present Me with sacrifices and grain offerings in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel? You also carried along Sikkuth your king and Kiyyun, your images, the star of your gods which you made for yourselves. Therefore, I will make you go into exile beyond Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts. When I first reread this passage in Amos, a few things struck me. First of all the Lord is bringing judgment on Israel for carrying on religious ceremony without true dedication to the Lord. They sing songs and present their offerings while harboring idols. I was reminded of how the Lord must view the heretical apostate mega church celebrations of today. There is a lot of pomp and circumstance, yet little or no obedience to the Word of God. The Lord does not look favorably upon worship of that type, no matter the hype, no matter the noise, no matter the show. He actually “hates” it.

How To Find A Good Church

Here’s how to find a good church. What you need to find is a church that not only has orthodox doctrinal statements but teaches, both explicitly and implicitly, in line with the core doctrines of the Faith. These are Bible-believing Christ-centered churches that are balanced in their theology. Be sure to test all churches before you become involved. It is acceptable to get involved with a house church or Bible study as long as there is someone who has the gift of teaching there to lead the study of God’s Word.

The Christian life is not one to be lived alone. Trust me; I have sympathy for those who have been spiritually injured by false churches, false prophets, false teachers and false apostles. It is often a long road back from the diaprax of heresy. But to undo the brainwashing you will need help, especially from those who are already ahead of you on your journey back. The first century church was known for the following:
Acts 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
This is a good gauge to tell if you are involved in an effective assembly of believers, no matter how small. Remember that the first century churches were in homes. In my experience smaller churches are much better at doing the above and more. Avoid mega churches.

followers, those with name recognition, and
prophets who make wild prophecies. It is defined
simply as training ourselves to know the
difference between good and evil.
Where do Christians get solid food? From voices in their heads, intuition, imaginations, flights of fancy, signs, wonders? No. Solid food is consumed by feeding on the meat of the written Word of God.

The title and cover art of this work are a play off of the book by C. Peter Wagner entitled “"Dominion! How Kingdom Action Can Change The World". In contrast to this specious claim we have titled this book “Dominionism! How Unbiblical Action Can Change The Churches". We think that is far more in keeping with what we will present in this series of articles and essays on the subject of Kingdom Now/Dominionism.
Indeed, many churches have already been changed by accepting the false teachings that constitute Dominionism. This started decades ago under Reformed Reconstrucionism and Latter Rain theology, but even before that in the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). The attempt of Constantine to protect Christians from being persecuted, since he claimed he had become one of them, turned out to begin a journey in syncretism and Dominion. It wasn’t long before corrupt church officials began to try to seize power all over Europe and beyond as the “Holy Roman Empire". The Reformation itself was a reaction to the lengths to which the RCC had gone to take control over the Scriptures, the nations, the kingdoms, and the people for financial gain. They sold indulgences, promising those who came up with enough money a much shorter time in Purgatory. Those same ploys are being used today on what has been loosely called “Christian television" by the sale of trinkets and promises of healing, financial gain and even salvation.
These ideas all coalesce in Dominionism. If it were true that the Church needs to take over the planet, then we would be seeing the unstoppable plans of God’s physical Kingdom unfolding. But we do not. All we see are failed prophecies, empty edicts and declarations coming from false apostles and false prophets. They love to fool Christians with talk of the “kingdom" when it is clear they are talking about a different “kingdom"; a Kingdom Now not a Kingdom come. Jesus taught us to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". The implication is that we are to be about building His spiritual Kingdom while praying for and expecting His physical Kingdom to come. The only way we can do that is to continue in the Great Commission till He comes, not attempt to rule where God has not given the Church the authority to rule. Jesus will do that when He returns. If we go off on the tangent the Dominionists want us to go, we will not only miss out on the blessings of His Kingdom to come, but may well be deserving of judgment.

The future of apologetics and discernment ministries

I admit that I am very skeptical about the future of discernment and apologetics ministries. I don't see the next generation coming up to replace those who have stood for the truth for so long. Did God Put "Eternity In Their Hearts"

In the introduction to Mike Oppenheimer's and my book "Idolatry In Thier Hearts" I exposed the fact that Don Richardson pulled the phrase "Eternity In Thier Hearts" to use as his book title from it's context in Ecc. 3:11. He did this to support his thesis, which actually contradicts the second part of that verse, where it states that man cannot fathom what God has done. Richardson, rather, sets forth what has become the foundation for the false teachings of the WCGIP, YWAM, a number of Bible translation societies and the Emerging Church ... the propostion that men from Gentile cultures have always been seeking God and that Gentile cultures were already worshipping the true God before missionaries came with the Gospel.
But as I further investigated this verse I found that Richardson even ignored the true meaning of the FIRST half of the verse in favor of a few translations that use the phrase "eternity in their hearts".

(KJV) Israel had turned away from the Lord and had gone after the gods of Canaan, namely Baal and Asherah. Because Israel had prostituted herself with false gods in worshipping the polytheistic gods that started at Babel, God had declared He was divorcing Israel and would send them into exile until they again returned to the true God. But Judah prided itself in doing what God had commended as they had Jerusalem and the Temple. They disdained Israel for setting up altars to Baal and Asherah poles on high hills. Yet God was not fooled by Judah’s pretence. In the KJV it says they were not worshipping God with their whole heart but “feignedly".

Prophets for profit

2 Cor. 2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
There are many false teachers on TV these days who peddle the word of God for profit. They make promises of healing that do not come true by claiming if they are given a financial gift the person will receive healing and riches. When what they promised does not happen the person is blamed that they did not have enough faith. This often destroys the faith of people who fall into the traps of these snake oil salesmen. I have no problem with people charging for their materials if they cost to be produced, even though it is hoped that when a person cannot afford to pay for books and DVDs they will receive them free of charge. But the charges levied on people for conferences and speaking engagements is often excessive. A minister of God can ask for support and deserves it if they are being diligent in their study and proclamation of the Word. But experiences and feelings often come with a price today and that is not right.

HUMOR: Time for a rewrite of the old hymns. In this day and age of Third Wave revival movements and Word-Faith dominion, the old hymns just aren't cutting it anymore. Not only are they old fashioned musically, but the lyrics are, for the most part, particularly depressing. They talk of sin, death, repentance, the cross, the blood of Jesus and a whole host of other disgusting subjects. There are also too many lyrics in them, frankly, which takes away from the "worship" atmosphere. Repetitiveness is what we need, not dead doctrinal concepts. The old hymns are just too biblical. Give us a beat to move our feet, not concepts to move our hearts and minds!
Here is a list of some hymns that could be "upgraded" to meet the criteria of the Third Wave, Word-Faith, Latter Rain, Manifest Sons Of God, New Apostolic Reformation. Amos 5:21-27 “I hate, I reject your festivals, nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies. “Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; and I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings. “Take away from Me the noise of your songs; I will not even listen to the sound of your harps. “But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Did you present Me with sacrifices and grain offerings in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel? You also carried along Sikkuth your king and Kiyyun, your images, the star of your gods which you made for yourselves. Therefore, I will make you go into exile beyond Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts. When I first reread this passage in Amos, a few things struck me. First of all the Lord is bringing judgment on Israel for carrying on religious ceremony without true dedication to the Lord. They sing songs and present their offerings while harboring idols. I was reminded of how the Lord must view the heretical apostate mega church celebrations of today. There is a lot of pomp and circumstance, yet little or no obedience to the Word of God. The Lord does not look favorably upon worship of that type, no matter the hype, no matter the noise, no matter the show. He actually “hates” it.

How To Find A Good Church

Here’s how to find a good church. What you need to find is a church that not only has orthodox doctrinal statements but teaches, both explicitly and implicitly, in line with the core doctrines of the Faith. These are Bible-believing Christ-centered churches that are balanced in their theology. Be sure to test all churches before you become involved. It is acceptable to get involved with a house church or Bible study as long as there is someone who has the gift of teaching there to lead the study of God’s Word.

The Christian life is not one to be lived alone. Trust me; I have sympathy for those who have been spiritually injured by false churches, false prophets, false teachers and false apostles. It is often a long road back from the diaprax of heresy. But to undo the brainwashing you will need help, especially from those who are already ahead of you on your journey back. The first century church was known for the following:
Acts 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
This is a good gauge to tell if you are involved in an effective assembly of believers, no matter how small. Remember that the first century churches were in homes. In my experience smaller churches are much better at doing the above and more. Avoid mega churches.

followers, those with name recognition, and
prophets who make wild prophecies. It is defined
simply as training ourselves to know the
difference between good and evil.
Where do Christians get solid food? From voices in their heads, intuition, imaginations, flights of fancy, signs, wonders? No. Solid food is consumed by feeding on the meat of the written Word of God.

The title and cover art of this work are a play off of the book by C. Peter Wagner entitled “"Dominion! How Kingdom Action Can Change The World". In contrast to this specious claim we have titled this book “Dominionism! How Unbiblical Action Can Change The Churches". We think that is far more in keeping with what we will present in this series of articles and essays on the subject of Kingdom Now/Dominionism.
Indeed, many churches have already been changed by accepting the false teachings that constitute Dominionism. This started decades ago under Reformed Reconstrucionism and Latter Rain theology, but even before that in the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). The attempt of Constantine to protect Christians from being persecuted, since he claimed he had become one of them, turned out to begin a journey in syncretism and Dominion. It wasn’t long before corrupt church officials began to try to seize power all over Europe and beyond as the “Holy Roman Empire". The Reformation itself was a reaction to the lengths to which the RCC had gone to take control over the Scriptures, the nations, the kingdoms, and the people for financial gain. They sold indulgences, promising those who came up with enough money a much shorter time in Purgatory. Those same ploys are being used today on what has been loosely called “Christian television" by the sale of trinkets and promises of healing, financial gain and even salvation.
These ideas all coalesce in Dominionism. If it were true that the Church needs to take over the planet, then we would be seeing the unstoppable plans of God’s physical Kingdom unfolding. But we do not. All we see are failed prophecies, empty edicts and declarations coming from false apostles and false prophets. They love to fool Christians with talk of the “kingdom" when it is clear they are talking about a different “kingdom"; a Kingdom Now not a Kingdom come. Jesus taught us to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". The implication is that we are to be about building His spiritual Kingdom while praying for and expecting His physical Kingdom to come. The only way we can do that is to continue in the Great Commission till He comes, not attempt to rule where God has not given the Church the authority to rule. Jesus will do that when He returns. If we go off on the tangent the Dominionists want us to go, we will not only miss out on the blessings of His Kingdom to come, but may well be deserving of judgment.

The future of apologetics and discernment ministries

I admit that I am very skeptical about the future of discernment and apologetics ministries. I don't see the next generation coming up to replace those who have stood for the truth for so long. What I've seen in the last couple of years is that the production of regular materials is declining to the point where it's becoming difficult to find one article for my site to post every day. Of course I write my own articles but don't have enough time to write an article on a daily basis. I am very concerned because of the tsunami of false ideas from the enemy in the churches. Did God Put "Eternity In Their Hearts"

In the introduction to Mike Oppenheimer's and my book "Idolatry In Thier Hearts" I exposed the fact that Don Richardson pulled the phrase "Eternity In Thier Hearts" to use as his book title from it's context in Ecc. 3:11. He did this to support his thesis, which actually contradicts the second part of that verse, where it states that man cannot fathom what God has done. Richardson, rather, sets forth what has become the foundation for the false teachings of the WCGIP, YWAM, a number of Bible translation societies and the Emerging Church ... the propostion that men from Gentile cultures have always been seeking God and that Gentile cultures were already worshipping the true God before missionaries came with the Gospel.
But as I further investigated this verse I found that Richardson even ignored the true meaning of the FIRST half of the verse in favor of a few translations that use the phrase "eternity in their hearts".

Because Israel had prostituted herself with false gods in worshipping the polytheistic gods that started at Babel, God had declared He was divorcing Israel and would send them into exile until they again returned to the true God. But Judah prided itself in doing what God had commended as they had Jerusalem and the Temple. They disdained Israel for setting up altars to Baal and Asherah poles on high hills. Yet God was not fooled by Judah’s pretence. In the KJV it says they were not worshipping God with their whole heart but “feignedly".

Prophets for profit

2 Cor. 2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
There are many false teachers on TV these days who peddle the word of God for profit. They make promises of healing that do not come true by claiming if they are given a financial gift the person will receive healing and riches. When what they promised does not happen the person is blamed that they did not have enough faith. This often destroys the faith of people who fall into the traps of these snake oil salesmen. I have no problem with people charging for their materials if they cost to be produced, even though it is hoped that when a person cannot afford to pay for books and DVDs they will receive them free of charge. But the charges levied on people for conferences and speaking engagements is often excessive. A minister of God can ask for support and deserves it if they are being diligent in their study and proclamation of the Word. But experiences and feelings often come with a price today and that is not right.

The world system has always been a "top down" structure, starting at the apex of the pyramid and going down to the bottom. In kingdoms we have the king at the top, then the princes, common people, slaves. In a democracy we have the President at the top, the VP, the Sec. of State on down to the citizens. In business we have the CEO at the top, upper management, lower management, office workers and the janitors. Unfortunately, sometime in the third century, the church started to have a top down structure. This is also when the church began to be in error. The church of Rome began to have a "top down" structure that started with the pope, then cardinals, then bishops, then priests, then the people. Well, what about that? Eph 4:11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, This all sounds like a "top down" structure. But the problem is that people have not seen an important fact about these gifts of the Spirit -- man looks at function and title, God looks at aim and goal! Read on. Eph. 4:12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. These are not gifts given for title or to give people job descriptions. They are given because there are people out there who need our help! The church needed the Apostles. They were the ones who were the foundation of the church. They were the ones who saw Jesus in the flesh and were taught by Him personally. They wrote the New Testament Scriptures. Though the gifts of apostle and prophet are different today than in biblical times, the gift of evangelism, pastoring, teaching and others are still the same. A person who is an evangelist does not just have a title so he can rule over people. The reason that he has the gift to be an evangelist is so that he can tell others the good news. Why do we have pastors? Are they supposed to rule the church and get everyone to support them and bow to their demands? No. They are to serve the church by helping people to come to a fuller knowledge of Jesus Christ, to equip the saints to become more like Jesus every day.

In my article "Blasphemizing the Bible" I give a number of examples of how a lot of modern Bible translation societies are putting the names of "supreme beings" in the Bible in the place of God or YHWH. In this article I'm going to examine two of the excuses they make for making those substitutions in the Bible in many hundreds of different languages today.
(1) They claim that God has many different names and therefore they think they are justified in putting the names of various gods of various cultures in Bibles, as long as they are considered "supreme beings".
(2) The second excuse they give is that the names of the "gods" they are placing in the Bible are generic terms for God, like the words "God", "Theos", "Dios" and "Elohim". By generic I mean a word that can be used for any deity whether of the one true God or other false gods who claim to be God.
I will go through both of these excuses and show that they are both unbiblical, therefore the Bibles they have translated with names of other gods in them, or names they claim are generic, prove that they have "blasphemized" those Bibles.

There is a new "God" being promoted in the Third Wave, New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and Word of Faith movements whose teachers are regularly seen on TBN, Daystar, SkyAngel, CBN and other "Christian" TV networks. Some of those teachers even have, what would be considered, a fairly typical statement of faith or doctrinal statement they endorse. But by what they teach they end up promoting a false unbiblical view of God, especially through their actions and experiences. The whole phenomenon of "slain in the spirit" and all the antics that go with it are brainwashing an entire generation of Christians to put their faith in another Jesus, another Spirit, another Gospel. This new "Jesus" and "Holy Spirit" is clearly pantheistic or panentheistic in nature. Though some of these teachers would claim to be believing in the God who is One God in Three Persons, by what they teach they deny the very revealed character of God from Scripture.

Paul was not talking about heretics in this statement, but "brothers in the Lord" who preach the Gospel with wrong motives. Third Wave teachers not only have wrong motives, they also have the wrong message. This argument cannot be used for people like Hinn, even if they manage to preach enough of the "Gospel" for people to come to a saving knowledge of the Lord, because they are also teaching and practicing heresy.

So much heresy is entering the churches these days. As you would suspect, sometimes it is due to a pastor attending a conference or reading a book and becoming diapraxed with unbiblical ideas. He then starts to weave those ideas into his messages and begins to invite speakers to the church who expound on those ideas. Then when confronted by someone in the church who has reservations about the new stuff being taught, they are told to not talk about it and just go along with the program. If that person does not they are ostracized, slander behind their back, and often told to leave (which is what they should do in any case).
But my observation is that it is not only the pastor who causes unbiblical changes to influence a church. Often the pastor is blissfully unaware of influences coming into his church. They often come in through (1) the worship team (2) women"s groups (3) bookstore (4) children"s programs (5) interdenominational prayer efforts and (6) relief and mission organizations. If unchecked this type of infiltration is much more subtle and can become deeply rooted.

But unlike exclusivism, inclusivism holds that an implicit faith response to general revelation can be salvific. God expects from man a response proportional to the light given. We deal with these old heresies brought forward to modernity, these ideas that all men have have a relationship with God that will cause them to be able to avoid judgement in our book on the teachings of the World Gathering on Indigenous People movement called "Idolatry In Their Hearts". Testing The Spirits

Sometimes I really wonder why someone who claims to be a Bible believing pastor, for instance, refuses to listen to the truth. It frankly boggles my mind. I don't know if it is as a result of the postmodern paradigm or just that they have no love of the truth left. I don't know how that can happen in a truly regenerate person. You would think that the Holy Spirit would confirm the truth to them, first in their conscience, and finally through the written Word. But these days it is a miracle if it gets that far. I don't know if their conscience has been so seared that they don't hear the Spirit or if they just don't want to know the truth because then they would be responsible for it. I know that I cannot know their motives or the reasons why they reject truth and refuse to talk about false teaching, but I do know one thing: we are called as true believers to test the spirits. We must do this even if the result is not to our liking or befuddles us as to the reasons.

Mirram-Webster defines it this way:

Given the definitions of "karma" above, this same idea, usually without the reincarnation aspect in Christian circles, has been taught for decades in New Thought movements such as the Positive Thinking/Positive Confession teachings of Norman Vincent Peale & Robert Schuller, the Word of Faith ideas of Essex Kenyan, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn, the mixture of Eastern Mysticism and Christianity by Korean false teachers such as the "force of faith" Paul Yongii Cho, and newer renditions and fusions by people like Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, T.D. Jakes (recently agreeing with Oprah Winfrey who teaches karma on her WHO network), and others such as Ernest Angley, John Bevere, Markus Bishop, Juanita Bynum, Morris Cerullo, Kim Clement, Paul Crouch, Creflo Dollar, Jesse Duplantis, Marilyn Hickey, Brian Houston, Rodney Howard-Browne, Larry Huch, Bishop Eddie L. Replacement Theology On Steroids

So, as you can see, the root of this teaching is that Israel no longer holds the distinction of being the tree from which the Root of David (Jesus-Rev. 5:5, 22:16) came. They are no longer the "natural branches" (Israel-Rom. 11:21) on to which Gentile Christianity (the wild shoots-Rom. 11:17 or wild branches-Rom. 11:24) are grafted in (Rom. 11:17-24). According to Replacement Theology, Christianity has now become its own branch apart from Israel (the natural branch) that produced the Root and all the promises of the Bible to Israel have been taken away from them and given to the Gentile Church. This is why you hear so many false teachers taking verses out of context from the Old Testament and willy-nilly applying them to the Gentile Church. This methodology has been going on for decades in liberal churches and has been popularized by many false teachers on TV. But the fact is that Replacement Theology is utter false doctrine. It denies promises made to Israel, some of which have already been fulfilled and some which are yet to come to fruition. But when you add the fact that the Inclusivist WCGIP proponents are now saying that God planted hundreds of different trees, cultures all over the world, that are not connected to the natural branch, tree and Root, you have what can only be termed Replacement Theology on steroids!

Lying is a problem for all people (Ps. 116:11). We are all sinners (Rom. 3:23). Those of us who are Christians are "sinners saved by grace" (Eph. 2:8) indwelt by the Holy Spirit in our "new self" (Col. 3:10). But we still live in our "old self" which we must "put off" (Eph. 4:20-25) by taking up our cross daily and following Christ (Luke 9:23). The difference between unbelievers and those who are truly born again is that believers no longer "practice sin" (1 John 3:9, see my Bible study on 1 John!) They have the indwelling Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:11) who convicts them when they lie (John 16:8). True believers then repent (1 John 1:9) and go on to "practice righteousness" (1 John 2:29) with the Lord's help. The unregenerate, the false brothers, or those who have fallen away (Gal. 5:4, Mark 4:17), practice lying. They practice a lifestyle of lying because their consciences are seared (1 Tim. 4:2) and the Holy Spirit, when convicting them, cannot break through the hardness of their unrepentant hearts (Eph. 4:17-19, Heb. 3:13).

With the resurgence of the old religion of Hawaii and the continual invocation of Pel" and other "deities" for years in the secular culture and even in churches with regards to worshipping 'Io, is it any wonder that those beings are beginning to manifest again? In a story called "Night Marchers" on the Kawaihae site and in a YouTube video on the same subject, eyewitnesses claim all kinds of sightings that they think are the warriors, ancestors and demi-gods of Hawaii coming back. Interestingly the first book the Hawaiian Heritage site recommends in its "Suggested Reading" list is "Perpetuated in Righteousness" by Daniel Kikawa that we reviewed in our book "Idolatry In Their Hearts" by Sandy Simpson and Mike Oppenheimer. Since Kikawa claims that 'Io is the True God and one that the Hawaiians worshipped in secret, we have to wonder if Kikawa also thinks 'Io is showing up in these night marches? Since YWAM, Aloha Ke Akua and Hilo New Hope participated in worshipping 'Io at the "edge of Hale-ma'uma'u Crater" it sounds like they have all been inviting the old "gods" to return to Hawaii.

"They Will Believe
The Lie"

I am doing a Bible study right now on what I would call "renewing our minds". It is based on this verse:
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
The only way to renew our minds is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, confess our sins, and be saved, then to study the written Word and allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to teach us. Our minds are corrupted by virtue of the sin nature and what we have learned in life because our filters are off. I gave an illustration of straining coconut to make coconut milk. If you use a 1 inch screen everything will pass through. Even if you use a quarter inch screen you will get mostly coconut meat in your milk. You have to use a fine screen in order to separate the milk from the leftover. Our filters are off and the first thing God begins to do is correct our worldview, because if your worldview is off you will not understand God's reality. We need to learn to see things from His perspective. This is why I started this study by going back to an original problem.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
This has always been an interesting passage to me for a few different reasons. What is "the lie" that is talked about here in verse 9 and 11? What are the ways that "wickedness deceives those who are perishing" and how long has this been going on or does this only begin to happen at the coming of the lawless one? In what way does "the lie" cause those who do not believe the truth to "delight in wickedness"?

There are a number of the leadership of the Emerging Church (EC) who do not believe that the Bible is the highest authority for the Christian faith. Most do not believe that the Bible is inerrant in the original manuscripts and many do not acknowledge that the Bible is our highest revelation. Yet this is a core doctrine over which true believers and false brethren must separate. Those who try to poke holes in Sola Scriptura make excuses like (1) we need to reinterpret the Bible through the lens of postmodern culture and religion (2) the Bible never uses the words "Sola Scriptura" therefore it is not a Biblical concept (3) there is new revelation for the church through the Holy Spirit apart from what is written and the precepts of the Bible and (4) the Bible just doesn't address our postmodern situation therefore we cannot rely on it for the truth and answers for our problems today. I will prove that all the above arguments, and more, from EC leaders and others is exactly what they are teaching. I will give you quotes from their teachings, videos and books. The postmodern church and its "movements" are abandoning Sola Scriptura in their rush to be like the Roman Catholic Church, which takes its authority from a mix of Scripture and tradition.
"As a result the Church, to whom the transmission and interpretation of Revelation is entrusted, "does not derive her certainty about all revealed truths from the holy Scriptures alone. Both Scripture and Tradition must be accepted and honored with EQUAL sentiments of devotion and reverence." (Roman Catholic Catechism, Given October 11, 1992, the thirtieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, in the fourteenth year of my Pontificate. Page 31).

Peter Wagner, Arise Prophetic Conference, Gateway Church, San Jose, CA, 10-10-2004) Wagner has substituted the "government of the church" for the coming government of Jesus Christ in the Millennial Kingdom. Wagner is "Kingdom Now" while the Bible teaches "Kingdom Come". What I wanted to do with this article is put the issue of dominion to rest by studying the definition the Bible gives to dominion and ruling authority. When we look at the subject we can easily ascertain what is going on today and what God requires of the Church.

The Bible lays out the definitions of both an overseer (under shepherd) and a hireling. John 10:11-13 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. (KJV) 1 Tim. 3:1-3 Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. (NIV) Titus 1:7-13 Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless, not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach - and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Even one of their own prophets has said, "Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons." This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith. (NIV) A hireling does not really care about being a watchman, but is more concerned with protecting his reputation, position and income. A true watchman will guard the flock against wolves from within (Acts 20:30) and without (Acts 20:29) no matter the cost to his reputation, position or income. Following is a little quiz you can take to see if you are a true Biblical under shepherd as a leader in your church, are becoming a hireling, or are one now.

Too many churches today are allowing music to be used in their services that is not glorifying to the Lord and can actually be a hindrance to the teaching of sound doctrine. Pastors and leaders should be using their leadership role to test what is being played and sung in their churches. Though some are quick to test preaching and teaching from their pulpits, many ignore the music being used in the same services. This is a tragic mistake. Music is a powerful medium. It is something that effects deeply the body, mind and emotions. It is a proven fact that music often stays with a person far longer than what is taught or preached. Songs roam around in our heads, especially if the melody appeals to us. What is often overlooked is the serious impression music makes on people, and the teaching they are getting over and over again as they allow the song to repeat in their minds and on their lips. Music teaches things much more subtly yet sometimes far more effectively. That's why the lyrical content of music in the church, as well as its effect on the spiritual lives of those who perform and listen, should be vigorously examined by the leaders of the church. Do you not realise that Christ Jesus
is in you - unless, of course, you fail the test?
People who call themselves followers of Christ or "Christians" and claim they are born again must believe certain things. If they do not then they fail the test of faith. They can claim they are born again all they want and "once saved, always saved" but if they fail the test of faith there is no eternal security. Only God knows who will be saved, from beginning to end, because of His foreknowledge and omniscience (Rom. 8:29, 1 Pet. 1:2). God did not make an arbitrary judgment about who would be saved and who would not. His Spirit is given to those He foreknew, when convicted of sin by His Holy Spirit, would choose to believe and commit themselves to Jesus Christ. We are not God and we do not have His omniscience. Therefore, according to Paul, we must be sure our belief system is in the right place once our eyes have been opened to the Truth. I am not saying we do not have assurance of salvation, but our assurance comes not only because of His Atonement and promises of salvation but from our continuing in the Faith, which is always the Biblical criteria. Those who would be Bible teachers must teach according to the whole counsel of God's Word. Let me be clear. There is only one way to salvation. That is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. I will deal with a few of those issues following, but it is important to recognize that being saved is not just a matter of believing that Jesus lived, or that He was a man, or simply giving mental ascent to His existence in whatever form.

"Blasphemizing" The Bible

I am going to go over an article I wrote back in 2006 in preparation for the book I wrote with Mike Oppenheimer called 'Idolatry in Their Hearts'. This book is an apologetic against the false teachings of the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People movement, the Emerging Church and the New Apostolic Reformation which got their ideas from the book "Eternity in Their Hearts" by Don Richardson. At the time that book came out no one really saw the dangerous ideas Richardson was promoting. All they would have had to do was look at the two subtitles of that book to understand the implications. The first subtitle in the 1981 edition read: The Untold Story of Christianity among Folk Religions of Ancient People. Those who read this book found some interesting cross-cultural ideas but apparently missed the false premise of the book starting with the subtitle. How could Christianity be "among folk religions" where the Gospel had not been preached (Rom. 10:14-15)? At that time Christians who read the book were apparently satisfied that, though there was some questionable material present, it made for an interesting discussion on how to do cross-cultural ministry. The subtitle it has today, which was first published in 1984, is as follows: Startling Evidence of Belief in the One True God in Hundreds of Cultures Throughout the World. This should have been a red flag for many Christians but then, who reads subtitles? But how could the "One True God" be known to Gentiles who did "not know God".

I was talking with a pastor after a Wednesday night service and he mentioned that I said I had done an article comparing English Bible translations. He called me up later and asked me to come back and present the contents of that article I sent out in about 2002 to my mailing list for the Pacific Waves Newsletter which, unfortunately, I can no longer afford to publish and mail. However an archive of past issues of that newsletter can be found here. In that article I detailed a number of good and bad resources for pastors including Bible translations, concordances, commentaries, Bible dictionaries, etc. I present an edited version of part of that article on this DVD, particularly dealing with English Translations of the Bible. Translation is a very detailed endeavor and should only be undertaken by those with a proper education in that subject and a sound doctrinal background. I read a few books on that subject and it helped me understand the complexities involved. Hebrew is a rich language so it is hard to distill one Hebrew word down to one English word. Greek is a very technical language and it is also not easy to translate. This is why it is imperative to use the good English translations out there for comparison along with a good concordance and Bible dictionary.

opportunities to forgive. Sometimes the situation
was so severe that it took me some time to forgive
and start the process of healing for myself, and
eventually for others. I learned that a Christian
needs to forgive other people even if they have
not repented of their sins. That can be really
hard if we let it be hard. But if we give our
burdens over to the Lord, He will carry them and
that frees us up to treat other people with love,
compassion, and be in the right frame of mind and
heart to set them up for reconciliation with Jesus
Christ. That does not mean we tolerate their sin.
We simply forgive them for what they have done to
us, whether perceived or real, and move on to
looking for ways to redeem them. We can then
present to them the "truth in love" even when we
have to rebuke them.

Reverse Paradigm Shift

We live in a
topsy-turvy world of opposing ideas. It is
easy to get lost and overwhelmed. We as
Christians often don’t realize how much we have
been diapraxed by the world, the flesh and the
devil. Our
paradigm has been altered to such a degree that,
without the solid foundation of Scripture, we are
often set adrift without the anchor God has
provided us.
Our paradigm is our worldview, our
understanding of reality. Without
the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the written
eternal Word, we really have no hope of
understanding reality, our cultures, or our lives. I have
written this book to clue the reader into some of
the issues that surround the modern born-again
believer and how to reverse the shift that has
exponentially changed our perspective in some
cases. Fortunately,
in the foreknowledge of our Lord, He provided us
with a roadmap to navigate our fallen world. We don’t
need a new map, as Emergent Church advocates
claim. We
need the tried and true map of the ages. There is
“nothing new under the sun”. There
have always been false prophets and false teachers
who are there by the will of the enemy to mislead
and ultimately destroy the faith of many. We are
clearly living in the Apostasy foretold in the
Bible that has been growing preceding the
appearance of the Antichrist. We need
to carefully test ourselves to be sure we are in
the Faith, and then hold on to the hope we have in
Christ.

Revelation 18:4-5 (LSB) The world system, for the most part, is extremely tolerant of religion as long as it is not evangelical Christianity. However, it has no problem with that version of Christianity that is politically correct. Many countries in this world have imposed anti-hatred and anti-conversion laws specifically directed against Christianity. Liberalism, ideology, or cultural religions protecting their turf dominate those governments. Even in the United States, a preacher can get in a great deal of hot water with the FBI if someone in his audience becomes offended by the preaching of the truth from scripture about sin and depravity. It appears the deck is stacked against evangelical Christianity.

Visions of Jesus Or “Lying Signs & Wonders” of a
False New Age Christ?—Akiane Kramarik and Heaven is
for Real (Booklet) by Warren B. Smith, 10/9/25
Akiane and Colton’s publicly and commercially proclaimed
experiences in “heaven” are a far cry from the apostle
Paul’s silence regarding his experiences in heaven. Paul
was specifically kept from talking about what he had
seen and been told. Yet, in contrast, Akiane and Colton
talk freely about their experiences in “heaven” and are
usually exalted and treated like royalty. Quite a
contrast to Paul. No public acclaim or worldly success.
No best-selling books or high-priced paintings regarding
his experience. Rather, because of his courageous stand
on preaching the true Gospel and speaking truth, he was
hunted, whipped, beaten, jailed, and constantly
persecuted. His reward wasn’t selling a painting of
Jesus for $850,000 or getting royalties from the sale of
thirteen million books. His reward was “a thorn in the
flesh” to keep him humble and from being “exalted above
measure” (2 Corinthians 12:7).

‘The Carpenter’ Film by Garrett Batty (Film) - Reviewed by Protestia
“If you want to learn who Jesus is, open up your Bible. Plead in prayer to God to reveal him to you. Don’t a watch a ridiculous movie in which 100% of it is fabricated and made up by some fool who thinks he’s being clever. My my, what a terrible idea.” A film about Jesus of Nazareth having a Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) apprentice is set to be released in theaters this Friday. Garrett Batty is the writer, producer, and director of ‘The Carpenter.’ A devout Mormon, he has a small handful of indie films beneath his belt, including The Saratov Approach in 2013, which is perhaps his best ‘known’ film, and Out of Liberty, which is a dramatic telling of LDS founder Joseph Smith’s time in jail before an unruly mob killed him.
Unfortunately, the authors have drunk heavily from the Spiritual Formation Movement that was invented by Roman Catholic monks and infused into evangelicalism via Richard Foster (p. 79). This includes Benedictine rhythms, (p. 68); praying the Psalms (pp. 76, 79), keeping the divine hours (p. 78); practicing silence (p. 79) so that the Holy Spirit’s voice can be heard (p. 80), and using other mystical spiritual disciplines (p. 87). The authors admit that in order to accept these ideas, one must have the presupposition that God still speaks today apart from Scripture (p. 80). Turning to mystical leadings supposedly from the Holy Spirit represents an important flaw in The Council. The danger is to rely on extrabiblical communication that a council assumes is from God and make decisions on that basis. This sets up any leadership team to make serious errors because it believes God has spoken directly to their hearts. The truth is that God has revealed His Word in Scripture and not in mystical voices, hunches, and feelings. Christian councils should carefully analyze biblical principles and directives and make decisions on this basis, not expect the Lord to speak to them beyond the Bible. These flaws render this book of limited value.

The Chosen (TV Series) Directed by Dallas Jenkins - Reviewed by John Lanagan
Greg Laurie says “House of David” and “The Chosen” great for evangelism. Okay, reader, what is the verdict? Are these shows great opportunities for evangelism? Are they detrimental or disrespectful of the Bible? Here’s what one commenter said: With all the lies and false teaching in “The Chosen,” I don’t see how anyone can find the true Jesus and the true Gospel. In my opinion, those who follow that series are just members of a cult believing whatever they are told. On my blog I expose a whole lot of error found in “The Chosen.” – Glenn Chatfield

Urges Bishops to Celebrate Pride Mass by

“These events are sponsored by Jonathan’s Tent, a
pro-LGBTQ activist group dedicated to advocating for
full acceptance, inclusion, and celebration of LGBTQ
Catholics in the life of the Church. The group is named
“Jonathan’s Tent” because they believe Jonathan and
David had a homosexual relationship.” For the
first time in history, a rainbow pride cross was
officially processed into the heart of the Vatican after
hundreds of LGBTQ Catholics attended mass in St. Peter’s
Basilica, with the blessing of Pope Leo, who personally
encouraged the vice president of the Italian Bishops’
Conference, Bishop Francesco Savino, to celebrate with
them. More than 1,400 LGBTQ Catholics and their families
have descended on the Vatican over the last week, making
a pilgrimage for the 2025 Jubilee, a major Roman
Catholic event celebrated every 25 years.

“Blesses” Block of Ice During Pagan Earth-Worship
Ceremony by The Dissenter, 10/4/25
“The world applauds, the people are deceived, and
judgment is certain. For the Lord will not share His
glory with another, nor will He suffer His name to
be invoked over pagan rites. Rome has chosen her
gospel. And it is not Christ.” If you needed more
proof that Rome is just another pagan temple dressed
in white robes, look no further than this spectacle.
The so-called “vicar of Christ” stood before a block
of ice, mumbling prayers to “creation,” while a
chorus of voices chanted like acolytes in some
eco-ritual. It wasn’t worship of God—it was worship
of the earth, the very exchange Paul warned about in
Romans 1. I cringed as I watched the Pope invoke
“conversion” not to Christ, but to climate justice.
He “blessed” the waters, not the Word. He offered
hope, not in the cross, but in collective action
against carbon. This is not the gospel—it is a
counterfeit gospel, a communist manifesto recited in
liturgical tones.

Vatican Library now has prayer carpet for Muslims

Muslims have been given a carpet for praying at the
Vatican Apostolic Library, its vice prefect said
Wednesday. “Of course, some Muslim scholars have asked
us for a room with a carpet for praying and we have
given it to them,” Giacomo Cardinali, vice prefect of
the Vatican Apostolic Library, told La Repubblica.
“Incredibly old Korans” can be found in the Vatican
library, Cardinali added. “We are a universal library,
there are Arabic, Jewish, Ethiopian collections and
unique Chinese items.” The awe-inspiring collection
includes around almost two million printed books along
with 80,000 manuscripts, 50,000 archive items, 100,000
engravings and prints and 100,000 coins and medals,
Cardinali said. The disclosure that Muslims can pray
at the Vatican Apostolic Library has sparked an outcry
from Catholic commentators, who have suggested that
the permission signals religious indifferentism,
ambivalence about its own Catholic identity, and
ideological surrender to Islam.

Leo May Be the Most Radical Pope Yet” at
Lighthouse Trails, 10/17/25
Pope Leo XIV met Arnold Schwarzenegger at the papal
summer residence, and then urged the green faithful to
undergo a “true ecological conversion” and to “listen to
the cry of the Earth.” The new pope quoted his
predecessor’s condemnation of climate unbelievers who
have chosen to “deride the evident signs of climate
change” and “ridicule those who speak of global
warming”. . . .The elevation of environmentalism to the
level of doctrine, the pseudo-pagan deification of the
earth and the implication that those who do not believe
in the environmental movement are heretics who need to
undergo a conversion “that transforms both personal and
communal lifestyles” which he equated to a conversion to
Christianity and the claim that failure to participate
in made it impossible for anyone to call themselves
“disciples of Jesus Christ” were radical positions, but
the real radicalism lay in the infrastructure of leftist
political organizing.

and Pope join in historic prayer service by
Anna Reese Green – Premier Christian News, 10/25/25
Pope Leo, King Charles and the Archbishop of York have
joined together for a special prayer service in the
Sistine Chapel. It is the first time that leaders of
the Church of England and the Catholic Church have
joined in prayer since the 16th Century Reformation.
As monarch, King Charles is the Church of England’s
supreme governor, whilst the Archbishop of York is
acting as its spiritual head until Dame Sarah Mullally
is installed in March. The ceremony opened with the
Lord’s Prayer, read first in English. The King and the
Pope then held a private meeting to discuss
environmental sustainability—an issue both men have
spoken about passionately.

the Mystics of Tomorrow by Lighthouse Trails,

For many years, Lighthouse Trails has tried to warn
the church about evangelical publishing houses that
are releasing countless materials which promote and
teach contemplative spirituality (via Spiritual
Formation). One of the publishing companies that is at
the forefront of this effort to bring the New Age/new
spirituality practice of contemplative prayer into the
church is InterVarsity Press, which has a particular
focus on young evangelicals. In light of this, our
concerns only heightened when learning of
InterVarsity’s “2030 Calling,” especially when we
consider how contemplative spirituality is one of the
most robust vehicles that lead young evangelicals into
an anti-biblical, anti-moral outlook.

My church is testing a program called “Rooted Pilot
Course.” An examination of the participants’ workbook,
Rooted: Connect with God, The Church, Your Purpose, and
articles on the Rooted Network’s website shows
unbiblical teachings and practices in it. Mariner’s
Church in California adapted this program for westerns
from a course developed by Pastor Muriithi Wanjau and
Mavuno Church in Nairobi, Kenya. Aesthetically, the
workbook is a winner. It is a ‘just right’ size and
weight and a pleasure to hold; its print and layout are
attractive. Contents include 10 weeks of material for
group and individual settings. It teaches basics of the
Christian faith using extensive quotations from
Scripture. I can see how leaders would be eager to use
this material in their churches, but a careful look
shows that “Rooted” introduces and emphasizes
“contemplative” concepts and practices. Participants are
tutored in “7 Rhythms” to practice in community and on
an ongoing basis after the course concludes. A “Rooted
Covenant” on page 15 is to be signed by participants,
giving their agreement to attend all group meetings and
keep things shared therein confidential.

Furtick and the Carnival Church by The

I watched the clip—again and again—Steven Furtick
laughing, giving some guy a piggyback ride in what he
calls a church. The people around him cheering,
clapping, filming on their phones like the presence of
God is some novelty sideshow act. Honestly, this stuff
just makes me sick. It should grieve us when what is
meant to be holy is dragged through the mud and turned
into a circus. There was a time when men trembled to
enter the sanctuary and especially when one took the
pulpit. When the thought of the Most High, holy and
righteous God stirred awe and fear in their bones.
Some accounts, whether true or not, claimed that even
the priests would tie cords around their ankles before
entering the Holy of Holies because the holiness of
God was so consuming that a single misstep could end
their lives. But now? The pulpit has become a
playground. The sanctuary has become a stage. And men
like Steven Furtick dance before a crowd that no
longer knows the difference between worship and
blasphemy.

us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us,
they would have continued with us” (1 John 2:19).” To
abandon the bride of Christ is not a side path in the
Christian life—it is to abandon Christ Himself. There is
no way around this truth. You cannot sever yourself from
His people and pretend to cling to His Person. The bride
and the Bridegroom are inseparably joined. Reject one,
and you reject the other. For years, Jen Hatmaker has
been on a slow, steady march toward this very point. The
warning signs were always there. She was once paraded as
a darling of Evangelical women’s ministries, a
bestselling author, published by the SBC’s publishing
arm, Lifeway, a podcaster, even a brief HGTV star. Yet
beneath the bright veneer, compromise grew like mold.

Nemos: When nearly everything said is wrong, when

There are certain groups of people who claim that no
Jew today are Israelites, Hebrews; who are the people
of the covenant. That none of these are God’s
people returning to Israel since they officially
became a state in 1948. What this shows is their
ignorance, and even unbelief of the Scripture. Having
their hearts darkened they speak all kinds of
blasphemies about God's Word and his people. God said
he would call his people back to their land in the
latter days, and his people are now returning to
Israel. There are dozens of Scriptures on God bringing
his people back into the land but they insist this is
not taking place, they deny the Word. Christianity is
directly connected to its Hebrew (Jewish) heritage.
When this is denied you cannot understand the Bible.
Mr. Dustin Nemos (of QAnon fame) uses the Word but
disagrees with nearly everything in the Word. Because
of his Unbiblical interpretation, he ends up agreeing
with the enemies of the Word; those found in the
cults, i.e. Jehovah Witnesses, occultists, and the new
agers. He is not just against the Jews but Christians
also; especially if they have love Israel. The apostle
Paul, (who is not accepted by many of these
spokesmen), writes of a time in the latter days when
there would be those who deny the Word and apostatize.
By their lack of understanding, they do not see
themselves as the fulfillment. If you have chosen to
be against Israel you have chosen to be on the wrong
side of history, you are fighting against God who is
at work fulfilling His prophecies. And more
importantly, the blessings and curses of Genesis 12
that are still in effect. Guess which one you get?

We need to understand that the enemy has prophecies, he
has prophets and prophetesses in other religions, who
had temples built of their remembrance, even in the
Church. In Deuteronomy 13, God says a false prophet’s
word can actually come to pass. Being accurate (once or
twice) still does not mean they are of God; this is only
the first line of testing. For He tells us that when we
hear their prophecies v.3-4 “God is testing you to see
whether you love the Lord all your heart and with all
your soul.” You shall walk after the LORD your God and
fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice,
and you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.” Jesus
said, “if you love Me you will continue in My Word.” His
voice to us is his Word that is written to all
generations. So how do we know if they are of God? By
how they speak of the doctrine on God, the nature of God
and his word.

We are watching a number of ‘conservatives’ radically
change almost overnight, to saying things we never
thought possible. Case in point, Candace Owens. Prior
to becoming a conservative in 2017: she had a column
criticizing conservative Republicans, posting
anti-Trump content, making fun of him. She tells us
that “I became a conservative overnight ... I realized
that liberals were actually the racists. Liberals were
actually the trolls...” (Link to story). She launched
“Red Pill Black,” a website and YouTube channel that
promoted black conservatism. She left liberalism,
embracing Trump and rapidly became one of his
strongest defenders. Conservatives openly embraced
her, and Trump thought she is good for our Country.
Charlie Kirk and William Montgomery started Turning
Point USA in 2012. After meeting Kirk she came aboard
and served as TPUSA's communications director from
late 2017 until 2019, when she officially resigned as
communications director for Turning Point USA in less
than 2 years.

we don’t associate with false teachers to do it. We
don’t abandon our position because of a feeling and go
chasing waves. Waves subside. The Gospel doesn’t. The
naive newbie, the seeking heart, the unsure penitent
needs to know where there is a clear line between truth
and false.” In this post, I discuss the importance of
maintaining theological integrity and not compromising
the Gospel despite cultural moments that seem to
indicate a softening or readiness for the Gospel. I
critique Alisa Childers’ self-announced shift towards
softening her stance on not associating with false
teachers and indicating she may now do so in the future,
if asked. I state that this undermines credibility and
dilutes the message of Christ. We need clear separation
from falsehood in ministry.

megachurch pastor pleads guilty to child abuse

A Texas pastor who founded one of the largest
megachurch congregations in the country pleaded guilty
on Thursday to sexually abusing a girl of 12 in
Oklahoma in the 1980s. Robert Morris, 64, entered the
guilty plea during a hearing on Thursday, admitting to
felony charges of lewd or indecent acts with a child.
As a part of the plea agreement, the former leader of
Gateway Church was handed a 10-year sentence, but will
only serve six months in jail and be on probation for
the rest of the time. Morris founded Gateway Church in
2000. At its peak, the group had 100,000 active
attendees, with nine locations in Texas and
surrounding areas, according to the church. President
Donald Trump named Morris his spiritual adviser and a
member of his evangelical advisory committee in 2016.

Must Not Share the Stage with False Teachers

Christians are not to share the stage, or minister, with
false teachers who reject the Bible, and who undermine
biblical and historic Christian doctrine. For some to
suggest that they can go on the stage with false
teachers, and speak with them to “reach them with the
Word of God,” raises serious questions. What chapter and
verse are you using to support that position? Either
Scripture is truly sufficient, or it isn’t. You cannot
say, “I am going to preach the gospel there,” because
we’ve seen that logic used before, and those who tried
it were influenced more by false doctrine than anything
else…. Over time, they also ended up preaching messes
not even remotely close to biblical Christianity. If you
think this is just “my opinion,” read the New Testament
again. Nearly every book addresses false doctrine, or
warns against false teachers. This is not a secondary
matter, nor an area where faithful Christians can simply
agree to disagree.

Pleading Guilty to Child Sex Abuse Charges by

thing as consent from a 12-year-old child. We were never
in an ‘inappropriate relationship.’ I was not a ‘young
lady’ but a child. You committed a crime against me.”
Former megachurch pastor Robert Morris has pleaded
guilty to five felony counts of lewd or indecent acts
with a child, admitting that he sexually abused Cindy
Clemishire when she was just 12 years old. In a
negotiated plea agreement, Morris, 64, was handed a
10-year sentence but will only serve 6 months before
being released. Upon his release, Morris will have to
register as a sex offender and pay Clemishire more than
$250,000 in restitution. In a prepared statement,
Clemishire told Morris in court his abuse “rippled into
every part” of her life, straining relationships,
damaging her marriages and affecting the way she raised
her children. She said she prayed that God helped him to
understand the depth of the pain he inflicted.

which we read about in 2 Kings. What did she have to do
with any of this, especially since the story about
hiring witches to do a hit on Charlie Kirk was a
satirical response to “Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric over the
years”? Nothing.” The popular author and false prophet,
Jonathan Cahn, put out two recent videos claiming to
reveal the “proof that there were actually witches and
the practice of witchcraft behind the assassination” of
Charlie Kirk. Generally, we don’t follow Cahn very
closely but this past week, someone sent us a link to a
Jonathan Cahn video and asked what we thought about it….
The individuals who asked are aware of our interactions
with witches, Wiccans, and other pagans at Pagan
Festivals like Paganicon and others. They were troubled
by Cahn’s claims. As it turns out, this was the second
video Cahn had made concerning this issue. The first one
had popped up on Facebook just a day earlier, promoted
by Charisma magazine, “Jonathan Cahn Exposes the Demonic
Connection Behind Charlie Kirk’s Murder – Charisma
Magazine Online.” After watching the video, we thought
we should preface any comments on Cahn’s recent videos
with a quote by a nineteenth-century pastor, Henry Ward
Beecher: Whatever is almost true is quite false, and
among the most dangerous of errors, because being so
near truth, it is more likely to lead astray.

youth groups than Ray Boltz. Choirs sang his ballads,
even parents wept at his lyrics, and GMA Dove Awards
were stacked on his shelf. His song, Thank You,
captured the imagination of a generation. The Anchor
Holds gave solace to broken men. And in 1994, he took
home Inspirational Song of the Year for I Pledge
Allegiance to the Lamb—a declaration of costly
discipleship that echoed through sanctuaries like a
modern creed. To youth groups who were serious about
their faith, those didn’t seem like empty lines in
their day. They were sung with tears streaming down
the faces of kids who believed Boltz meant every word.
They believed him when he told the story of Christians
brought before tyrants’ thrones, choosing death over
denial of Christ.His music called us to commitment and
his lyrics demanded loyalty to Christ above comfort,
above approval, above life itself. But the same man
who once swore allegiance to the Lamb has now pledged
allegiance to his flesh. After divorcing his wife of

The body count is growing– murders at the hands of
gender pretenders. Are these confused people
disproportionately prone to violence? Unless they
receive help to walk away from these delusions, the
clear answer is yes. An article in 2024 in The Epoch
Times had this headline: “Concerns Grow Over Links
Between Transgenderism and Violence.” The article
reviewed the little-publicized fact that some recent
mass murders were committed by people who identified as
the opposite sex with a history of a “volatile cocktail
of mental health issues and body-altering chemicals.”
Robert, aka Robin, Westman had regrets about his
identity as a woman. But not enough to backtrack from
his confused sexuality and obvious mental health issues
and possibly demon possession, before planning a mass
murder of children at Annunciation Catholic School in
Minneapolis on August 27. Two children died and 17 more
people, mostly children, were injured. Westman was
previously a student at the school. This has many
similarities to the Nashville Covenant School shooting
in 2023.

sexual deviancy.

any details of his disqualifying in order to “protect
the dignity of all involved and prevent unnecessary
speculation or sensationalism.” They do however note
that “his restoration process has included individual
counseling with outside non-staff professionals and
pastoral mentoring.”

Poll Show Churchgoers Are Caving To The Devil At An

The Family Research Council (FRC), in collaboration
with the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian
University, surveyed over 1,000 monthly churchgoers on
their views about marriage, family, and related moral
issues, and the results are dispiriting, showing a
sharp dip from even two years before. Key findings
include: Marriage and Family: 68% support marriage as
a union between one man and one woman, but only 46%
define ‘family’ as a husband, wife, their children,
and relatives united by God’s design. Commenting on
the incongruity, The Dissenter explains: “That means
nearly one in four churchgoers espouse a biblical view
of marriage without bothering to connect it to
biblical family structure. It’s like people believe in
gravity but deny it...

Moore Steps Down as Editor in Chief of Christianity

Russell Moore has stepped down from his position as
editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, with senior news
editor Marvin Olasky taking his place, according to a
press release issued by the company. Olasky was editor
in chief at World magazine from 1994 to 2021. He served
as a professor at The University of Texas at Austin from
1983 to 2008. Olasky is the author of 30 books on
journalism, American history, abortion, and public
policy, including The Tragedy of American Compassion,
Prodigal Press, and Compassionate Conservatism. He has
served the past 18 months at Christianity Today, first
as a consultant and then as an executive editor.

publishers launch children's Bible stories with social
justice, diversity themes by Kristine Parks,

A crop of new children’s storybook Bibles aims to
reach progressive Christians who are turned off by
traditional presentations of Scripture, offering
messages focused on diversity, inclusion and social
justice. Publishers say the projects are meant to
reflect the faith values of a changing audience — and
to fill what they describe as a gap in faith resources
for progressive believers. "The Just Love Story
Bible," a "justice-oriented" storybook for readers
ages four to 10, was released last month. The book,
authored by Rev. Jacqui Lewis and the Rev. Shannon
Daley-Harris, features 52 Bible stories and
illustrations portraying characters in Black, Brown
and tan skin tones.

of young adults identifying as transgender plunges by

More data is emerging supporting a sharp decline in the
number of young adults identifying as transgender or
non-binary. Last week, Fox News Digital reported on data
shared by Eric Kaufman, a professor of politics at the
University of Buckingham, showing that the share of
college students identifying as anything other than male
or female has been cut in half in just two years.

two years that he is the next Russell Moore.” Gavin
Orltund has built a successful YouTube platform, making
him the most viable option for people like Russell Moore
and those at The Gospel Coalition to retain their
influence over the next generation. Gavin Ortlund is the
son of Ray Ortlund who endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024….
The apple did not fall far from the tree as they both go
to the same church as Russell Moore, the editor at-large
at Christianity Today. Russell Moore, the longtime
liberal spearhead of the Southern Baptist Convention,
has put considerable effort into advancing young
Ortlund’s career and at times, they’ve even broadcast
the same talking points.
9/2/25 - Should
Christians Rebuke Satan? by Dan Crabtree – The
Cripplegate, 9/2/25
If you were to tour Martin Luther’s house in
Wittenberg today, you would see a dark spot on the
wall of his study. The docents of the property
attribute this spot to a famous incident in which
Luther, awakened in the night by Satan, grabbed an
inkwell and threw it at the Tempter. Whether or not
the story is true, it made it into a collection of
stories by the Brothers Grimm, and has become a kind
of historical footnote to the modern practice of Satan
rebuke. The question was posed to me recently, “Should
believers directly address the devil or demons in
fighting against sin?” In other words, should
Christians rebuke Satan? Maybe you’ve heard Christians
talk about rebuking the devil, or have even done some
version of it yourself. I remember a decade ago seeing
the movie War Room, in which the main character walks
around her house “binding Satan” and “casting” him out
of her marriage, with the effect that in a nearby
hotel her husband abruptly stops his attempts at
adultery and returns to his family. Statements like
“you have no place here,” or “I command you in Jesus’
name, be gone, Satan,” have worked their way into
popular evangelical sermons and media, and down into
the homes of Christians. Should we be giving orders to
fallen angels? Should Christians rebuke Satan to fight
their sin? In short, no, Christians should not rebuke
Satan. We do not have authority over Satan, and there
are no biblical examples of Christians directly
addressing Satan or demons in the lives of believers.
Now, let me delve into some relevant texts to explain
this a little further.
9/13/25 - Love
of this lost and dying world is a key marker of the

ἀγαπᾷ τὸν κόσμον, οὐκ ἔστιν ἡ ἀγάπη τοῦ πατρὸς ἐν αὐτῷ·
(1 John 2:15 NA28) 15 Love not this world, neither the
things that are in this world. If any man love this
world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15
(1599 Geneva Bible) There is a certain type of love that
God hates. We find that in John 15:18-20) 18 Εἰ ὁ κόσμος
ὑμᾶς μισεῖ, γινώσκετε ὅτι ἐμὲ πρῶτον ὑμῶν μεμίσηκεν. 19
εἰ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου ἦτε, ὁ κόσμος ἂν τὸ ἴδιον ἐφίλει· ὅτι
δὲ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου οὐκ ἐστέ, ἀλλʼ ἐγὼ ἐξελεξάμην ὑμᾶς ἐκ
τοῦ κόσμου, διὰ τοῦτο μισεῖ ὑμᾶς ὁ κόσμος. 20
μνημονεύετε τοῦ λόγου οὗ ἐγὼ εἶπον ὑμῖν· οὐκ ἔστιν
δοῦλος μείζων τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ. *εἰ ἐμὲ ἐδίωξαν, καὶ

world hate you, ye know that it hated me before you 19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own:
but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen
you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is
not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me,
they will persecute you also: if they have kept my word,
they will also keep yours. John 15:18-20 (1599 Geneva
Bible) God has no love for “love of the world system
that is opposed to God.” Jesus made it clear in the
passage from John 15:18-20 that those who are “of the
world” are not of God nor are those whom He has selected
from out of the world part of the world. This is why
those who are still “of the world” hates them. I want to
reiterate here that there are plenty of apostate,
“so-called christians” in our time who exhibit that very
same hatred toward those of us who refuse to back away
from Orthodox Christianity and God’s Word and being
infallible and complete. In any case, John is telling us
in 1 John 2:15-17 two important truths about genuine
Christianity. First, the Christian loves God and fellow
Christians and an absence of love of the world must
habitually characterize the love life of those to be
considered genuinely born again.
9/18/25 - One of the
most important Do Not’s in Scripture! by Mike

Do not add to the Word is a principle spoken of
throughout the Bible. This is something the Gnostics
opposed early on by adding sayings of Jesus that were
not said by him, but they wrote and circulated many
books on these supposed ‘new’ sayings that were
contrary to what the apostles wrote. Today we still
have this taking place by books, movies, and religious
TV series that add or change the Words of Scripture,
they sound like Scripture but mislead. Who would have
thought that the Bible would be so distorted and left
to false teachers to flourish and be so popular in
their false interpretations as it is today? From the
time the law was being delivered, God spoke to Israel,
Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I
command you, nor take anything from it” (also
Deuteronomy 12:32). God is stating for MAN not to add
to his words. Adding does not only mean additional
words, but can also mean changing them to mean
something completely different than what was intended.
When you add new words as equal to Scripture, you are
really taking away from Scripture. “The entirety of
Your word is truth” (Psalms 119: 160).
9/24/25 - The season

It’s the season of divination again, 2025 has become
that year of the shift, something big is about to go
down,… I mean up! The rapture is about the happen, it’s
everywhere, not since 1988, Edgar Wisenats book of 88
reasons the rapture will happen in 1988 (then changed to
1989 after it didn't), there so much fever, so many are
excited they calculated, it’s the feast of Trumpets on
the 23rd. 31 million searches have taken place about
this matter. It is confirmed by many from a dream, by
visions that agreed with a single man they found to
follow him in his upward assurance. Because of one man
and what he was told by an appearance of what? Its all
true, they insist! Some have calculated from one feast
(trumpets) to another and it fits perfectly in the
timeline, which is rarity (using the 7 year tribulation
time, its all aligned perfectly. Even talk of fallen
angels thrown to the earth are now taking place (Rv.12,
which happens to be in the middle of the tribulation). I
understand the yearning for this as the world has become
a dark place, and if it happens, I will rejoice with
everyone, because I too look forward to the event, but,
sorry, I have to say it will not happen. Now it’s turned
out that everyone ‘knows the day or the hour!’ Jesus is
the Word, God wrote His Word, but everyone is convinced
by a video. Some say it’s impossible to be wrong, while
it may only be possible to be right. Some are even
manipulating people who doubt any of this to be true,
reversing the warning that they are fulfilling prophecy.
Do these people also believe 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3, read
and understand what Paul wrote? Consider what takes
place first. Jesus said, See to it that no one deceives
you, Paul said the same on this very event. Some are
saying ‘Jesus told them the date’…Read carefully Matthew
24:36 and is repeated in Mark 13:32. The phrase ‘day and
hour’ is an idiom, but what is said after qualifies what
Jesus meant. They have taken it from its context, have
portioned out the whole sentence to adjust it to their
own desire. I won’t begin to speak on all of God's Word
to counter this date configuration that has been
calculated, discovered, or on all the dreams and visions
and visitations, because so many cannot hear what it
says at this time, much less understand what it means.
You are not walking in the light but in the shadows. Do
you want this scripture to become your judge as a false
teacher, prophet; that had you spread rumors and misled,
that is not what many of you did not want to do but that
is what will become of you.
9/26/25 - As Prophecy moves
ahead toward its fulfillment by Mike

God gives us the way to live in these trying times. 1
Peter 3:10-12 For "He who would love life And see good
days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips
from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do
good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For
the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears
are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is
against those who do evil." We have been given the
solution. The answer will not come by force, by law and
order, nor by politics; Jesus has and is the answer.
Let’s Proclaim him! Remember what Jesus said, that all
these things must take place, be of good cheer.
It's good to be aware, but Christ let’s focus on the
Father's work. May you know the grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ.

(Abysmal) State of Theology in 2025 by Ken

Well, the results of the new State of Theology survey
from Ligonier Ministries and Lifeway Research is now
available, and it’s as disappointing as the 2022
version. The answers were an inconsistent mess
highlighting US Evangelicals’ lack of knowledge
regarding what the Word of God teaches regarding
doctrine and theology. Biblical illiteracy is an
epidemic.64% believe that “Everyone is born innocent in
the eyes of God.”
53% agree that “Everyone sins a little, but most people
are good by nature.”
53% think that “The Holy Spirit is a force but is not a
personal being”—compare this with the fact that 98%
agreed with the statement: “There is one true God in
three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the
Holy Spirit.” Talk about inconsistent!
47% agree that “God accepts the worship of all
religions, including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.”
28% say that “Jesus was a great teacher, but he was not
God.”
17% believe that “The Bible, like all sacred writings,
contains helpful accounts of ancient myths but is not
literally true.”
19% affirm that “Modern science disproves the Bible.”
16% likewise say that “The Bible’s condemnation of
homosexual behavior doesn’t apply today.”
28% think that “Religious belief is not about objective
truth”—and another 19% aren’t sure how to answer this
question.
10/11/25 - Understanding
the Word to be fruitful by Mike Oppenheimer,
10/11/25
What we physically eat gives us nourishment for the
body, if it is not good food, it can make
us sick. The Scripture, the Word of God, is called the
truth, is also spoken of as bread, milk, and meat for
our nourishment. If you learn from those who teach
distortions or heresy, that is what you will live by,
you will form your life to their false teachings, and
you will be misled. And one day you will end up
reaping what you sowed. Jesus said the ‘truth will set
you free,’ Jesus, who is called the Word, is the
Truth. The Spirit of God is called the Spirit of
truth, and he will never contradict himself.
10/19/25 - How
Should the Christian Contender of the Faith Speak and
Behave? by Lighthouse Trails, 10/19/25
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper
than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents
of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) Lighthouse Trails has
always made great efforts to speak the truth in love. We
attempt to never be vitriolic or judge one’s motives,
not even the “worst” of them. We leave that part up to
God. We also attempt to make sure any discernment-type
article we link to by a fellow researcher is of the same
caliber. So how does a believer rightfully and in a
godly manner (following the example of Jesus, Paul, and
the disciples) deal with those who are bringing false
teachings into the church. In thinking about following
the example of Jesus, the disciples, and Paul, below are
some Scripture verses that might help us outline some
thoughts; we will show verses that talk about showing
love and respect to others but also show verses that
talk about how to deal properly with those bringing
heretical doctrines into the church. While we don’t
believe the New Testament condones cruel or hateful
behavior to anyone, we do see a consistent pattern in
Scripture that does not look lightly upon those who are
teaching heretical doctrines or practices.

Do
“Text with Jesus” Apps Help People “Explore
Scripture”? by Answers in Genesis, 10/26/25
Want a direct line to Jesus Christ where he speaks to
you personally? Well, apparently you need look no
further than “Text with Jesus,” one of a variety of
apps that allow you to “chat” with Jesus, Moses, and
other biblical figures. Do these kinds of apps help
people “explore Scripture,” as the creator claims? Or
are they utter blasphemy? Is such an app just a “fun,
accessible way” to discover Scripture and
spirituality? AI is programmed by humans who have a
worldview that no doubt is reflected in the
programming. Well, according to reports, sometimes the
app just directly quotes Scripture. For example,
someone anxious about work asked the AI “Jesus” about
it, and the app responded by quoting Philippians 4:6,
a very applicable verse about anxiety and prayer. But
other writers note that when asked about abortion, AI
“Jesus” responded with a very nuanced, shallow, and
unbiblical opinion on the issue. After all, AI is
programmed by humans who have a worldview that no
doubt is reflected in the programming. Also, it’s easy
to quote a verse from Scripture, but context is also
important because otherwise many verses could be
misinterpreted. Now, this app isn’t just claiming to
represent Jesus by quoting his words—it’s claiming to
be Jesus. For example, in response to the abortion
question, this AI responded with, “As Jesus Christ, I.
. . .” Claiming to be Jesus and adding to his Word
(through an algorithm pulling from who knows what!) is
blasphemy. If we want a direct line to Jesus, we don’t
need a chat feature. We have the Word of God!

Does
Sharing the Gospel Give License to Allow or Ignore
False Teachings? by Lighthouse Trails,

If pastors or ministries make the claim that they are
sharing the Gospel and many are coming to the Lord, does
that mean those ministries or churches have a license to
allow or ignore false teachings? The disciple Jude has
given an answer to that question when he stated:
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of
the common salvation [i.e., the Gospel], it was needful
for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should
earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered
unto the saints. (Jude 1:3) In other words, while Jude
wanted to just focus on the Gospel, he had to issue an
exhortation to “earnestly contend for the faith.” He
went on to warn about “certain men [who] crept in
unawares” (v. 4) and said in reference to them, “Woe
unto them!” (v. 11). In today’s church, there are far
too many examples of well-known pastors, authors, and
teachers who boast about preaching the Gospel but who
ignore contending for the faith. This ought not to be
so.

Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd
lays down his life for his sheep...I am the good
shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, even as
the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay
down my life for my sheep. And other sheep I have that
are not of this fold. Them also I must bring and they
shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and
one shepherd" (John 10:11, 14-16). These other sheep
are those outside of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Jews),
known as Gentiles. Their knowing the Lord was spoken
of by several prophets, especially Isaiah. For
example, Isaiah 9:1-2 writes, “by the way of the sea,
beyond the Jordan, In Galilee of the Gentiles. The
people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.”Isaiah 11:10-12 “ And in
that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall
stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles
shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be
glorious.”

I was driving along and noticing that spring has
sprung here in North Carolina. One of the first
trees to bloom is the Bradford Pear. I began to
notice how that tree has proliferated almost
everywhere and then my wife looked up the information
on this tree on the web. As she began to read
the facts about this tree and its proliferation I
began to see an allegorical parallel to what is going
on in much of Christendom. But before I get into
what the Bradford Pear can show us about the churches,
I need to present the facts about the tree.
Gilgamesh lied! by Sandy Simpson 1/5/25 - Biblical Genesis account vs. the Gilgamesh story. Gilgamesh was the ruler of Uruk and assembler of the Epic of Gilgamesh about himself and his exploits. He was a giant. By modern measurements, Gilgamesh (allegedly) stood 5.5 metres tall (approx. 18 feet). (https://uniavisen.dk/en/gilgamesh-the-4000-year-old-giant-who-speaks-to-our-times/) The knowledge of giants from archeological finds has been suppressed in the past few centuries, especially by the Smithsonian, that has attempted to round up every giant skeleton found in North America for instance, presumably to store in the warehouse at the Smithsonian (https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/22/us/smithsonian-apologizes-racial-brain-collection-cec/index.html). I believe the reason for this is that scientists do not want this information in the public square as it defies their views of evolution and genetics and tends to prove the accounts in the Bible to be true.

Giants (Video) By Sandy Simpson
My conclusions are based on research I have been doing. You may disagree with my conclusions but there are some facts that are beyond dispute because they are enumerated in the Biblical accounts. There were giants called Nephalim in the Ancient World before the Flood and also after the Flood. The Biblical account of David and Goliath is proven by his spearheads and body armor being found by archeologists in a dig in Gath. (Source) I am also basing this article on the belief that Nimrod was a Nephilim and had sexual relations with his mother in order to attempt to create more giants, instead creating a child named Tammuz. God called him a “Mighty Hunter” which is analogous to His calling the Nephilim “mighty men of renoun” in the Ancient World. A ziggurat was built at Babel for Nimrod and Semiramis which was likely made possible with help from Nimrod both physically and paranormally. Carved figures of Nimrod show he was much taller than normal humans.

Romans 13:11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we first believed. Now that we have the “woke” culture bearing down on everyone in the world, without regard to your right of belief and self-expression, I thought it might be appropriate to compare this overbearing current worldview with the worldview of God as expressed in His word.

And he continues to advocate for religious freedom across the globe.” Paula White-Cain is the head pastor of City of Destiny Church and one of President Donald Trump’s spiritual advisors. We last wrote about her after she insisted that Christians must not convert Jews and giggled while her husband recommended that Christian couples watch pornography together. During the 2025 Universal Peace Federation’s World Peace Summit, White, who routinely speaks at their events, repeatedly praised “Mother Moon,”otherwise known as Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, saying, “I believe in your calling and your assignment from heaven. And I join you in supporting the path of unity, family, faith, and peace.” Previously she declared that Mother Moon “loves the Lord” and “carries such a tremendous calling of God in this earth.”

Zechariah 14:9 "The LORD will be king over the whole
earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name
the only name." What are the implications of this
prophecy in Zechariah? (1) That before the return
of Christ there have always been many "gods" worshipped
in many names. (2) That the saints who return with
Christ (Zechariah 14:5), those who were Raptured, are
the ones who had already believed in the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ. Those remaining are forced to
acknowledge that there is "no other name under heaven
given to mankind by which we must be saved" because they
were left behind in the Rapture and survived the
Tribulation.

I have some questions for those of the World Christian
Gathering of Indigenous People (WCGIP) adherents such as
Don Richardson, Daniel Kikawa, Richard Twiss (deceased),
Terry LeBlanc, Danny Lehman, Aloha Ke Akua, YWAM as well
as many in the Emergent Church (EC) ... the questions
arise from their claim that the "supreme beings" of the
nations are all the True God, YHWH, the God of Abraham,
