Will the Real Blasphemers Please Stand Up?
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

This subject is one so serious that I do it with great fear and trepidation. Nonetheless, because I get so many e-mails accusing me and other Bereans of blasphemy, among other serious charges, I felt it was necessary to clear up some issues on this topic. Because of my stand for the truth of God's Word
juxtaposed against all the false teaching that is going on today, I think it is important to do a quick study on what blasphemy is actually all about from a biblical standpoint. There are many references to blasphemy in the Bible and from them we can find out how and why that term was used.

You will see that the word "blasphemy" in the Scriptures is the very definition of what the false teachers and false prophets are doing today!

Holy Cross Theology Professor Says Jesus Was a 'Drag King' with 'Queer Desires'
at Drudge Report, 3/30/18

ACT Note: This article is for informational purposesThe theology program at the Jesuit-run College of the Holy Cross has taken on a new tone ever since the school appointed a gender-obsessed Chair of New Testament Studies who claims Jesus was a "drag king," a new article contends. Writing for The Fenwick Review, Elinor Reilly of the Holy Cross class of 2018 argues in a March 26 article that Professor Tat-Siong Benny Liew's "unconventional readings of Scripture" have brought "a new theological perspective to Holy Cross." Letting the facts speak for themselves, Ms. Reilly suggests that "the centrality of sex and gender to his way of thinking about the New Testament" significantly colors the way that Professor Liew presents Jesus Christ to students at the Catholic College.

Before Becoming a Believer
by Penkhae Noble, 3/31/18

I received a book called, "I Dared to Call Him Father" from that foreigner.  When I read the book it really touched my heart.  When I read the book it reminded me of all of God's dealings with me in the past and how I resisted God.  It made me understand my sin, and why I needed Jesus.  I realized that I live in a country where we have freedom to choose any religion.  But, the person in the book I read about had to be willing to die for the truth that Jesus is the only one who could save her.  This story made me feel very sad that I had refused God.  So, when I finished reading the book, the first thing I thought about was that I wanted to get a Bible so I could get to know God better.  I remembered the time that I threw the Bible away and I cried.  I wanted to get a Bible on that day.  Where could I get one?  I tried to find a Christian bookstore, but couldn't find one.  Finally, it was getting late, and I decided to go to church to ask the pastor  for one.  When I got to the church, I heard a worship song, and I remembered that this was the Wednesday prayer meeting!  I remembered how I challenged God.  I surrendered to God and confessed that I believe in Him!  That day I asked the pastor to lead me in prayer to become a Christian.  She was surprised and happy at the same time.  I joined the prayer meeting and was given a Bible.  I went home very happy.

Do we establish the kingdom by power or force?
by Mike Oppenheimer, 4/2/18 Let Us Reason

In our day many wrong things are taught within the Spiritual warfare movement, one of them that is crucial is the aggressiveness the church is to have, like a military army for establishing the kingdom on earth. Matthew 11:12-13 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." It is this particular scripture that is the basis of this movement. I have heard a number of explanations on this passage that do not seem to fit the meaning when one takes into account what Jesus himself said about the kingdom and who enters it. So I want to offer a different view that I hope can give light to a perplexing scripture. Who was in charge until John the Baptist came on the scene? It was the religious leaders, particularly the Pharisees. When John came to preach repentance, the Pharisees came out to see him and reacted (strongly) against his message. The kingdom of heaven suffered violence, because Pharisaic Judaism was violent. It lacked compassion, mercy and fairness. John was the beginning of something new. Matt 11:13 "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John, this was the dispensation of law under Moses' old covenant. John was preaching of the Christ who was to come. A new dispensation where a new covenant will be instated. Matt 3:1-2  "In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" In other words his answer went against the Pharisaic practices of the day. It was what all of Israel had been anticipating, waiting for, but it was not to come through the Pharisees Judaism.

Percent of American Churchgoers Unfamiliar With the Term 'Great Commission': Barna
at Understand the Times, 4/3/18 Understanding The Times

A little over half of American churchgoers are not familiar with the term "Great Commission," according to a study conducted by the Barna Group and the Seed Company. The "Great Commission" is a term used to describe Jesus' call to evangelism in Matthew 28:18-20: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." In a report released Tuesday, Barna found that 51 percent of church attendees in the United States were unfamiliar with the term "Great Commission." From there, 25 percent of respondents said they heard of it but did not recall its "exact meaning," 17 percent knew for sure, and 6 percent said they were not sure. "The data indicates that churches are using the phrase less, which may reveal a lack of prioritizing or focusing on the work of the Great Commission, but may also indicate that the phrase, rather than the scriptures or the labor, has simply fallen out of favor with some," noted Barna.
