A Short History of Dominionism

The influences that have coalesced into the modern form of Dominion Theology are many and varied.  Not all had the same exact interpretation of what Dominionism is, but they all agreed that the mandate of the Church is to take over the governments and every other aspect of life on this planet to prepare for the return of Christ.   First of all, the Catholic Church, almost from the beginning, attempted to establish dominance over the world of the Middle Ages through their "Holy Roman Empire". They continue this tradition through the many varied Templar societies such as the Knights of Malta, whose membership includes Rick Joyner, Paul Cain and Jerry Boykin and who continue to swear fealty to the pope. It is heartbreaking. I was reading to our congregation from Ephesians 4, where Paul says to the church, "Awake, O sleeper." And, you know, there's a reason why he wanted the church to awake. Because of danger! This is reading...I'm reading right now, from Kris Valloton's eight core ideas about eschatology. Listen to what he teaches these young people: "I refuse to embrace any mindset that celebrates bad news as a sign of the times and a necessary requirement for the return of Jesus." You know what? When you read prophetic teaching of the Lord Jesus, He said, "If you see these things, then you need to know and be prepared that I'm coming soon - that My coming is at the door." And yet, we have a man teaching thousands of young people, and then, as you mentioned, this teaching goes out to the whole world that he won't embrace any mindset that celebrates bad news as a sign of the times and a necessary requirement for the return of Jesus. Listen to Part 1 & Part 2.  

One to Watch: Torben Sondergaard

Many people have asked me what I know about Danish evangelist Torben Sondergaard, the founder of the Last Reformation movement, and whether he's part of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). In short, he is part of NAR. Although my area of focus has been on American leaders of NAR, I do want to draw people's attention to this European teacher as someone to watch. Three things are clear about Sondergaard, based on a five-minute video clip from one of his teachings. This Youtube clip is titled "How to Remember the 5 Fold Church Ministry" and is part of a longer teaching by Sondergaard, titled "Reformation of the Church System."
