In the introduction to Mike Oppenheimer's and my book "Idolatry In Thier Hearts" I exposed the fact that Don Richardson pulled the phrase "Eternity In Thier Hearts" to use as his book title from it's context in Ecc. 3:11. He did this to support his thesis, which actually contradicts the second part of that verse, where it states that man cannot fathom what God has done. Richardson, rather, sets forth what has become the foundation for the false teachings of the WCGIP, YWAM, a number of Bible translation societies and the Emerging Church ... the propostion that men from Gentile cultures have always been seeking God and that Gentile cultures were already worshipping the true God before missionaries came with the Gospel.
But as I further investigated this verse I found that Richardson even ignored the true meaning of the FIRST half of the verse in favor of a few translations that use the phrase "eternity in their hearts".

False prophecies and New Age mysticism are rampant in the churches of today.

Comment from UTT: Are you ready for a great revival and the whole world coming to Christ? So says Benny Hinn. Has be been talking with Pope Francis? He is working on that scenario now through the charismatic movement. The Bible warns about such a coming delusion. We don't think it will be long. "The church is hiding away like Elijah in the caves, a group of prophets say. But not for much longer. "We are coming into perhaps the most significant day in church history," Mark Chirona tells Benny Hinn. That's the day when the church breaks away from her hiding place and explodes around the world." The sign, Hinn says, will be Billy Graham's death.
Gaylene Goodroad, author of the 5-part Herescope series describing the Mystic Force, has turned her article series into an E-booklet, available online as a free download at her blog: http://mylifeintheway.blogspot.com Goodroad's article series broke new ground in researching the mystical roots of the martial arts, documenting conclusively the connection to Yoga and the eastern religions. Goodroad exhibits such expertise because she knows her subject firsthand from intensive life experiences. Click here to read this article!
Sue Monk Kidd became enamored with contemplative spirituality while attending a Southern Baptist church. We could possibly dismiss that and say she was just an untaught member of the laity who was spiritually lacking in discernment. Maybe her spiritual dryness was a result of her not being grounded firmly enough in the faith. But what about the leaders and pastors whom so many look up to and who are considered trusted individuals in the church? Surely they are able to discern what is spiritually unsound. It seems safe to make this assumption. Right? Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.
So Bethel Church leadership cannot feign ignorance on this phrase as their "Physics of Heaven" shows they are thoroughly versed in New age teachings. I was on Facebook scrolling the news feed when I saw a sponsored ad for Bethel advertising their coming "Open Heaven" Conference. Well within the first 10 seconds the first thing to appear on the screen was As above, So below. I'm sure Ray Yungen would find this interesting as well.
