The Eternal Path website, hosted by S.E. Ray, is dedicated to reviewing
spiritual movements across the world. This will be an ongoing project
requiring the dedication of much research and contributions from
spiritually mature and sound writers from various backgrounds. The
motivation is to provide revelation unto realization - the unmasking of
spiritual fallacies and mystical belief systems. A task few have been
moved to achieve because of its sheer magnitude. "Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I
hate every false way." Psalm 119:104 Much of what we see today has been long ago foretold in
prophecy as the sign of the end times. A mystical movement that fully
deceives and ensnares the undiscerning. A false system of spirituality
that is not authored by the Holy Father of creation, but of he who is
fallen, who strives for souls to subjugate for eternity. Under the
careful supervision of the Holy Spirit, what we share here is from God's
eternal counsel, not personal agendas, fabricated beliefs or
ecclesiastical heresy hunting.

Emergent Church
| A Time Of Departing (Second Edition) by Ray Yungen Ray Yungen reveals how Christianity has
opened
its door to a blending of the gospel of Jesus Christ with the mystical
pantheistic thoughts that all is God and God is in all. The Second
Edition is vastly expanded!
Faith Undone by Roger Oakland, Understanding The Times, 8/07
Is the emerging church movement just another passing fad, a more
contemporary approach to church, or a bunch of disillusioned young
people
looking for answers? In fact, it is actually much broader and is
influencing
Christianity to a significant degree. Grounded in a centuries-old
mystical
approach, this movement is powerful, yet highly deceptive, and it draws
its energy from practices and experiences that are foreign to
traditional
evangelical Christianity. The path that the emerging church is taking is
leading right into the arms of Roman Catholicism and ultimately to an
interfaith
perspective that has prophetically profound ramifications.

New Apostolic Reformation
| The New Apostolic Reformation What is it and where is it going? by Sandy Simpson The International Coalition of Apostles headed by
C.
Peter Wagner is the most influential purveyor of the New Apostolic
Reformation,
a term coined by Wagner. This organization is really an extension of the
New Order of the Latter Rain whose influences and mentors include
William
Branham, Franklin Hall, the Hawtin brothers, and more recently Bill
Hamon,
Paul Cain and the Kansas City Prophets. The doctrines of the Latter Rain
have influenced most of the televangelists on TV today, and so have
crept
deceptively into many denominations. The main heretical teachings of the
New Order Of The Latter Rain, as ruled in 1949 at the General Council of
the Assemblies of God held in Seattle, were as follows: (1) The
restoration
of foundational apostles and prophets in the churches. (2) The teaching
and promotion of a transferable impartation or anointings that are
passed
on "by" the laying on of hands "by" the will of man. (3) Confession and
deliverance from sin to men. (4) The impartation of spiritual gifts by
the laying on of hands such as the gift of languages for missionary
service
and other "ministry skills". (5) The extreme and unscriptural practice
of imparting or imposing personal leadings by the means of the gifts of
utterance, "word of knowledge" or prophecy. (6) Distortions of scripture
interpretations, which are in opposition to teachings and practices
generally
accepted among the Church. These doctrines deemed heretical
by the Assemblies Of God in 1949, which are now common fare because of
the Brownsville 'Revival" and the Third Wave movement, are all being
promoted
today in the New Apostolic Reformation. This video will expose, by way
of video and quotes from written materials by adherents of the ICA, the
false apostles, false prophets and false teachers of the New Apostolic
Reformation. A number of the individuals mentioned by name in this video
claim to be Bible-believing born again evangelicals. But in reality they
are teaching and promoting doctrines that are not only dangerous, but
tear
down many or all of the core doctrines upon which the Christian Faith is
built. Many of those we will examine on this video have fairly decent
doctrinal
statements they endorse, but by what they are teaching and doing they
end
up denying the basic doctrines of the Church. We want you to know that
we do not hate those who teach heresy or those who follow their
teachings,
but rather admonish you in love if you have been deceived by teachings
that deviate from the basic doctrines of the Faith. The reason for this
book is the hope it will help many to come back to a complete faith in
Christ and come under the authority of the Word.
Idolatry In Their Hearts by Sandy Simpson & Mike Oppenheimer Does having eternity in your heart mean that you know God and are His
child? Could Gentile cultures understand the Gospel from the stars? Did
God create man's cultures? Has God always been in the process of
redeeming
cultures from the time of Babel by placing in them a true revelation of
Himself? Is there the worship of YHWH in all cultures and religions
through
the names of "supreme beings"? Have all cultures always had a way
to make things right between them and God? These questions and many more
are answered in this book that addresses the false teachings of The New
Apostolic Reformation regarding missiological methods as being carried
out by many agencies including the World Christian Gathering on
Indigenous
People, YWAM, and many Bible societies.

Church Growth
| This Little Church Went to Market by Gary Gilley
In an effort to
draw sellout crowds, is the modern Church in danger of selling out? This
is the question author and pastor Gary E. Gilley addresses in This
Little Church Went to Market. He believes that under
pressure from secular philosophies and fads, many evangelical churches
have subscribed to pragmatic rather than scriptural patterns for
ministry. Marketing tactics, demographic analyses and
entertainment-oriented worship have taken the new paradigm Church by
storm. The result is a Christian community which is rapidly losing its
focus and forfeiting its biblical mandate. This Little Church Went
to Market is a call for the Church to return to its scriptural
roots. This book, now in its second edition, fully updated and
revised with additional material is a serious and timely call for
churches to return to their Scriptural roots.
This Little Church Stayed Home
by Gary Gilley
Many churches, riding
the faddish waves of our times, have 'gone to market', but not all.
Some churches are trying to 'stay home', that is, remain firmly grounded
in the Scriptures. Still, the pressures mount, the temptations are
repackaged, and the schemes of the world become more and more
persuasive. In This Little Church Stayed Home, Dr. Gilley
explores the manifold pressures of conservative churches to sell out to
modern trends and innovations, including the present temptation towards
mystical theology. Churches toying with 'new measures' will be
challenged to remain true to the historic doctrines of the Christian
faith and to remain faithful to God's chosen means of converting sinners
to himself: the good news of Jesus Christ. Pastors, seminary
students, church leaders and Christians who want God's Word to be
paramount in their lives will find This Little Church Stayed Home
a timely message to a Christian subculture fixated on marketing the
glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
This Little Church Had None by Gary Gilley
"This book is a skillful
analysis and critique of the contemporary evangelical movement and a
powerful plea for Christians to recover their love for the truth. It is
a desperately needed message for these uncertain times, written with
clarity, spiritual wisdom, biblical precision and a passion that
reflects the authors' own deep love for the truth."
- John MacArthur (from the back cover of This
Little Church Had None)
