The ElijahList
The biggest promoter of
false
prophecies in cyberspace!
Compiled by Sandy Simpson, this 2-DVD series is a message based on this article.
This is a sampling of false prophecies by many
false
prophets that have been distributed by ElijahList. I have been
collecting
ElijahList newsletters for years. The following are but a tiny fraction
of the false prophecies ElijahList has sent out. Prophesy, that is
predictive, is to be judged not only on whether or not the prophecy came
true, but on how it depicts the character and testimony of God, and
whether
or not it teaches what the Bible teaches. If a Third Wave prophet
happens to, on the very off chance, get a prediction right his prophecy
must still be judged as to whether or not it is consistent with the law
and the testimony (Is. 8:20). If it is not it is a lying prophecy,
not from the Lord, but from either the delusions of his or her own mind
(Jer. 14:14) or from evil (Jer. 23:10) which has it's origin from the
evil
one (Jas. 3:15, 1 Jn. 3:8).

Featured Discernment Link The Berean CallSeven years after the release of The Seduction of Christianity in
1985, its authors, Dave Hunt and T.A. McMahon, also joined forces on
another front. They began a ministry for the purpose of encouraging
spiritual discernment among those who regarded themselves as biblical
Christians. The primary vehicle for this endeavor was through the
publication of the newsletter The Berean Call. Behind every
article is the exhortation to believers to get back into the Word of God
instead of being "carried about by every wind of doctrine," and to
equip them with materials to help them walk in the truth.

DITC e-Newsletter Volume 28, Issue 1

Dear All,
The new "social gospel" that is becoming the prime objective of many denominations and missions, is being promoted by Emergent Church (EC) leaders like Brian McLaren, Leonard Sweet, Rick Warren, and others. Yes Warren is also an EC promoter, has shared conferences with EC leadership, and works on projects with them. Warren's chief defender of late, Richard Abanes, actually wrote an article defending Leonard Sweet and Warren's involvement with him. In a 2008 article titled "Leonard Sweet, Rick Warren and the New Age," Abanes writes: "Doctrinally/theologically, Leonard Sweet is about as Christian as anyone can get." (Richard Abanes, "Leonard Sweet, Rick Warren, and the New Age, http://www.lighthousetrails.com/awdch11.pdf). That anyone intimately connected with Warren could call Sweet "doctrinally ... as Christian as you can get" is, I'm sorry to be so blunt, delusional. Read my article detailing the many completely heretical teachings of Sweet here. All this stuff is dovetailing together into a new form of apostate "Christianity" that is soon to become the "woman who rides the beast".
We continue to be in need of your help financially. Please consider ordering one of our products or making a donation.

Divination Is Forbidden By God
| by Chris Lawson Spiritual Research Network 4/7/10
Divination: any attempt to
foretell the unknown by occult means. It is
very clear that the God of the Bible strictly forbids all forms of
divination. This includes all forms of mediumship,
channeling, witchcraft [Wicca], occultism, psychic, fortune telling,
tarot cards, reading tea leaves, etc. Divination is forbidden
by God because it unlocks the door to the world of the demonic and
spiritual deception.

A
New Kind Of Christianity by Brian McLaren
| Reviewed by Scot McKnight Christianity Today 2/26/2010 Alas, A New Kind of Christianity shows us
that Brian, though he is now thinking more systemically, has fallen for
an old school of thought. I read this book carefully, and I found
nothing new. It may be new for Brian, but it's a rehash of ideas that
grew into fruition with Adolf von Harnack and now find iterations in
folks like Harvey Cox and Marcus Borg. For me, Brian's new kind of
Christianity is quite old. And the problem is that it's not old enough.
