of a shepherd
with his sheep was used so often in biblical times ... because it was an
illustration people could easily identify with in their cultural
context. The illustrations we use are most effective when they are understood
easily
by the culture to which God has sent us to minister. Middle eastern
cultures understood what shepherding was all about. It was about
feeding the lambs and the sheep, bringing them to good pasture lands and
water, grooming and clipping them, delivering new lambs, leading them
and
teaching them to stay together, going off after the wandering lost ones,
and protecting the sheep in the field and in the fold. We are all
under shepherds and Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. We need to
emulate what the Good Shepherd does for the sheep.

Dear All,
Apparently covenants are the order of the day in Evangelical Christianity. The problem is that with covenants made with false religions, cults of Christianity, and unbiblical movements comes compromise. A platform is then given to "strangers" and leaven begins to activate within the churches who sign these compromise documents.
John 10:3-5 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
The problem is that the voice of the Lord has become so muddled with other voices that many Christians no longer recognize the voice of Jesus. They would if they actually considered God's Word the ultimate authority for the Christian in all matters of faith and practice. Those who call themselves "watchmen" have actually invited the wolves into the sheepfold. Can you recognize the voice of the Great Shepherd when He is calling you to get away from this mark of the Apostasy?

Covenant for Civility - A New Order of the Third Way |

This is getting to be a regular event! Yet another broad ecumenical
coalition has gathered together to sign yet another "covenant" for
"common
ground" and "civility." The Discernment Research Group warned over a
year
ago that this tactic would be increasing.
Be prepared for an onslaught of global "common ground" and global
"civility" documents in the days to come. These carefully-worded
manifestos always cite pressing crises, or a "momentous challenge" or a
critical opportunity that requires a "clarification" or "unity"
statement about "where we stand" on carefully delineated issues. This
strategy of issuing declarations achieves several key aims: 1) it is
always accompanied by an orchestrated public relations and media
campaign to bring about public awareness; 2) it redefines issues, often
creating or seizing upon a crisis; 3) it posits a pre-manufactured
solution and calls for a new broad consensus to achieve its aims; and 4)
it becomes a watershed event historically, collecting runoff from all
of the nearby slippery slopes of compromise, so that thereafter the
document is viewed as the definitive statement.

If Hinn is so anointed, as he has portrayed himself to the church
over these many years, how can he miss something of this magnitude in
his
own life (the estrangment and divorce from his wife, Suzanne Hinn)?
Makes
you wonder what else is coming that Hinn does not know. Maybe we will
eventually
learn some details of what has really been taking place all along. Won't
we all be surprised!
