A Short History of Dominionism
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

In order to understand where the modern fusion called "Dominioism" comes from, I want to first give you definitions of Kingdom Now, Dominionism and Reconstructionism.

Dominionism is sparsely defined as follows:

"Dominion Theology (also known as Dominionism) is a group of Christian political ideologies that seek to institute a nation governed by Christians based on their personal understandings of biblical law. Extents of rule and ways of achieving governing authority are varied. For example, Dominion Theology can include theonomy, but does not necessarily involve advocating Mosaic law as the basis of government. The label is applied primarily toward groups of Protestants in the United States." [1]

It is more closely defined this way:

"Dominionism, or Christian Dominionism is a term coined by social scientists and popularized by journalists to refer to a subset of American Christianity that is conservative, politically active, and believes that Christians should, and eventually will, take control of the government. The term is sometimes used as a "catch-all" by bloggers to describe any politically active Christian, but not every conservative, politically minded Christian is a Dominionist. Christian Dominionists believe that God desires Christians to rise to power through civil systems so that His Word might then govern the nation. The belief that "America is a Christian nation" is sometimes called "soft dominionism"; the idea that God wants only Christians to hold government office and run the country according to biblical law is called "hard dominionism." [2]

"Hard Dominioism" as it is called in the above definition, is what C. Peter Wagner (deceased) of the New Apostolic Reformation (a term he coined) have been advocating, following the teachings of the New Order of the Latter Rain and Reformed Theology "Reconstructionism".

Roma Downey's Financial Contribution to New Ager Marianne Williamson Raises Many Questions
by Lighthouse Trails, 4/4/19 LT Publishing

Evangelical leaders such as Rick Warren, Greg Laurie, and David Jeremiah have shown public support for Roma Downey and her books, movies, and other media work for a number of years now. Lighthouse Trails has attempted to alert these leaders and the church at large that while Downey may be a sincere person, she is a New Age sympathizer and has consistently supported those sympathies. This week, a Lighthouse Trails reader sent us a link to a March 27, 2019 article from the Center for Public Integrity that disclosed that Roma Downey contributed $2600 to Marianne Williamson's 2014 run in California for Congress. Proof of this contribution can be seen on a government website (Federal Election Commission) that shows a tax record for Marianne Williamson for the year 2013 (when the contribution by Downey was made - see page 135 of the report). Marianne Williamson is one of today's foremost New Age leaders and is running for president in 2020. It was because of Williamson that the New Age "Bible," A Course in Miracles (see video), became popular in mainstream America after Williamson's book Return to Love (promoting A Course in Miracles) was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show. A Course in Miracles has the quintessential New Age message that God dwells in every human being and that each person has a Christ consciousness. It is this same New Age "God" who believes that "the era of the single savior is over"(1) and that Hitler actually did the Jews a favor by killing them.

"Metamorphosis of the Universal Church in Our Time"
by Jackie Alnor The Christian Sentinel
The Christian Sentinel, 4/6/19

The sleeping giant in Rome has awakened. She has been in hibernation for the past 400 years, but it appears she is making a come-back - her final curtain is at hand. She is making herself ready. She has no patience for any whom oppose her authority - she cannot be questioned while she sits as a queen in her temple in the Eternal City. She claims she holds the keys to the kingdom and whatever she decrees, the God in Heaven must endorse, be it right or wrong. After all, she rules over the kings of the Earth in His stead and has the assistance of the Queen of Heaven. The Fourth Lateran Council declares: "The Roman Church, as the mother and mistress of all the faithful, by the will of Christ holds primacy of jurisdiction over all other Churches." This is quoted in an 'Encyclical Letter' of Pope Leo XIII on 'The Unity of the Church' he wrote in 1896. In this letter he refers to the Catholic Church in the feminine gender and declared that she is to 'rule the nations.'  Read Part 1Part 2 & Part 3.

Four Tales of the supernatural from William Branham (DVD)
by Mike Oppenheimer, 4/8/19

This DVD covers 4 supernatural events in William Branham's life. He had many supernatural experiences such as a cross of light saving him in his shed, but there are 4 specific events that shaped his ministry, that he is famous for: 1. His birth: where a circular halo came into his room at dawn, at his birth. 2. His Commission to be Elijah:  when baptizing a bright light suddenly appeared over his head and he heard a voice speak, "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Jesus Christ, so are you sent to forerun His second coming!" 3. Years later he claimed he was visited by The Angel of the Lord who came to commissioned him his gift: a man came out of a light telling him "As the prophet Moses was given two gifts, signs to vindicate his ministry, so will you be given two." 4. His revelation to be the 7th angel of the church. His teaching on 7 messengers to the 7 ages in church history. 7 angels came to him and had him open the 7 seals. Everyone of these stories has flaws and questionable and contradictory biblical correlations,  these are all refuted. This Video takes you through by PP and audio quotes showing what Branham actually taught on these matters. This should take away anyone's doubt that Branham was a false teacher of the word.

T.D. Jakes Comes Out for 'Gay Rights' and 'LGBT Churches,' Says Position is 'Evolving'
by Christian News, 4/9/19

(ACT Note: Not only is Jakes a Oneness heretic but he has been promoting more each day the skewed ethics of the Emergent Church including their stand on homosexuality.)

Megachurch leader and author T.D. Jakes says that homosexuals should attend congregations that affirm their lifestyle and that politics do not need to reflect biblical ethics, adding that his position on homosexuality is both "evolved and evolving."
