Nonetheless, because I get so many e-mails accusing me and other Bereans of blasphemy, among other serious charges, I felt it was necessary to clear up some issues on this topic. Because of my stand for the truth of God's Word
juxtaposed against all the false teaching that is going on today, I think it is important to do a quick study on what blasphemy is actually all about from a biblical standpoint. There are many references to blasphemy in the Bible and from them we can find out how and why that term was used.
You will see that the word "blasphemy" in the Scriptures is the very definition of what the false teachers and false prophets are doing today!

Francis Chan: "God Might Kill You If You Criticize Church Leaders"

There's a recent video sermon from Francis Chan which has eerie similarities to a cult leader indoctrinating his followers. His basic argument is this: God told the Israelites not to speak or act against God's temple in the Old Testament, upon penalty of death. In the New Testament, people are now the temple of God. Therefore, we must never speak or act against God's temple-His people. Rick Warren, Mike Bickle, and Mark Driscoll are men of God who should never be criticized, because Francis Chan knows them personally, and they have good hearts. If you speak out against these "people of God," Chan wouldn't be surprised if God took your life, because that's what He promised in the Old Testament.

The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry School Planting website has published an article entitled "Pastoring People With Unique Spiritual Giftings." Their article reveals their progressive slide into mysticism and Gnosticism, and reaffirms the need to expose this school for what it is. Some have compared it to Hogwarts, the school of Wizardry from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Bethel itself has been labelled a cult by others. What is certain, is that Bethel church and their School of Supernatural Ministry are deceiving thousands of people all around the world.
