False Teachers Revisited
by Sandy Simpson This DVD is a message based on this article. I often receive requests to present updated false teachings and false prophecies by the myriad of heretics out there. We do try to keep up with all the latest. But I have to remind people that those we have exposed as false on our site have not repented of what they have already done in the past, which is why they are still on our site. So what they are doing now has no relevance as to whether or not they are now to be considered a true Biblical teacher. If and when they repent, that is renounce their false teachings and false prophecies, make restitution to those they have deceived, and begin to teach sound Biblical doctrine we will give you that information. As of now NONE of the people we have exposed have repented of their Latter Rain, Word of Faith teachings, heretical practices or their false prophecies. But in the interest of helping you to respond to a person who inquires by saying: "Those articles are old and you need newer materials" well, here is some newer stuff you can add to the pile. For you and me this really makes no difference, but for those who are living in deception perhaps it might demolish one of their arguments against the truth.

Sandy heads up the Apologetics Coordination Team, and runs Deception in the Church, an extensive library of resources on the NAR and related movements and organizations. This episode is a follow-up to our previous discussion. We began with the assumption that those listening have heard the first discussion we had. If you haven't, that episode can be found here. We answer some questions people had from that episode, get into some further examination of the New Apostolic Reformation, and try to keep from repeating what was already covered as much as possible.

The most dangerous of all False Teaching

The new model of warfare prayer is directed at things; cities, principalities and powers instead of petitioning God. They decree, make power proclamations against principalities and powers in the heavenlies. The Bible does not instruct us anywhere to use prayer to battle directly against these beings. There is no example in the Bible of a believer confronting what they call territorial demons or bind OR commanding demons to give up their territory in their prayer. When the apostles entered a city to evangelize, we have no example of them praying to pull down strongholds or do verbal rebukes of the territorial spirits. Jesus didn't go into Jerusalem and address the evil spirit that caused the unbelief in people. He held people individually accountable to their different sins. We are not commanded to discover demons, trying to pull them down, curse them, bind them and supposedly throw them into the pit of Hell. As believers we have authority over our lives but we don't have power over other places. Only Jesus does, that is why we pray. But what these people have brought into the church is fantasy spiritual war games.

I believe the Bible contains an important signal that the changes of times and seasons may indeed be at hand. In Matthew 24:3-5, which is a chapter dealing with the tribulation period, Jesus spoke these revealing words to His disciples concerning the signs of His coming and the end of the world (age): "And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign [indication] of thy coming, and of the end of the world [age]? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."
