Questions for Those Who Claim the "Supreme Beings"
Of the Nations Are the True God
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this article.

I have some questions for those of the World Christian Gathering of Indigenous People (WCGIP) adherents such as Don Richardson, Daniel Kikawa, Richard Twiss (deceased), Terry LeBlanc, Danny Lehman, Aloha Ke Akua, YWAM as well as many in the Emergent Church (EC) ... the questions arise from their claim that the "supreme beings" of the nations are all the True God, YHWH, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  You can read more on this subject in our book "Idolatry In Their Hearts" or in the WCGIP section of my site. My main question for them is this: When did ANY of the Patriarchs and Prophets in the Old Testament and the Apostles or Jesus Christ in the New Testament EVER claim that the "supreme beings" of the nations were Elohim/YHWH, the one True God?  Let's look at some examples in the form of questions and you can check out the source links as well.

Spiritual Research Network

PURPOSE

The ministry of Spiritual Research Network exists in order to:

- Glorify, honour and serve the Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming His Gospel of man's redemption.

- Provide evangelistic training and resources with an emphasis on the Bible as the verbal and plenary inspired, inerrant Word of God.

- Expose any and all doctrines that oppose or nullify the Gospel of grace as found in Scripture.

- Contend earnestly for the faith against those who suppress, and/or reject doctrinal truth for the sake of unbiblical ecumenical unity.

- Encourage and support former members of other belief systems.

The value of Can We Still Believe the Bible? seems to diminish as one travels through the book. There is some excellent information within its covers but due to the caveats mentioned above I would recommend this book, which is one of Christianity Today's 2014 books of the year, only to those who have a good handle on the issues.

I hope you can see by now that despite Batteson's claim that this circle praying isn't a ritual, it is. I hope you can see by now that despite the True Woman conference people saying it has no link to the occult, they are wrong. I hope you have read enough to see that if the book or bible study is presented at your church, you can refuse on solid grounds. It never originated from the bible, and therefore is not profitable for us.

AD: The Bible Continues (TV Series)

American Christians seem desperate for everything but the Bible. They've got to have the most popular "Bible teachers" (e.g. Rick Warren and Beth Moore); the most exciting and sensually appealing books (e.g. Jesus Calling and The Shack); a wide assortment of exciting, sensual, wordly music;  the most mystically drawing teachers (e.g. Richard Foster and  Brennan Manning) and mystically oriented practices (e.g. lectio divina and contemplative prayer); and they've got to have the most thrilling and captivating movies about God (e.g. The Passion of the Christ and Son of God). The fact is, reading and studying the Bible itself has become too boring and blasé for most Christians today. And the pastors and leaders keep feeding this unsatiable hunger for sensual foods because the truth is, they want to to be filled with them too.
