by Sandy Simpson, 2/23/15  I was reminded of a comment by Rev. Gary Gilley made on our 6-DVD series called "The New Apostolic Reformation - What is it and where is it going?". He was addressing proper exegesis versus wrong ways to interpret the Bible. He said that those who inject their own ideas and doctrinal methodologies on the Bible, making it into their own image and to their own liking, are using "Fairytale Hermeneutics". I always liked that definition and will now add one of my own with regards to how people lie about what the Bible says when it comes to their own preconceived notions, upholding mistaken Biblical interpretations. When you find yourself having to make up false definitions and other interpretations that are not according to the clear teaching of Scripture, you end up being a type of false teacher. I learned long ago that if you want to teach the Bible correctly you let it interpret itself. You teach what Jesus, the Apostles, Prophets and Patriarchs did, with the help of the Holy Spirit instead of trying to plug in manmade doctrinal systems on top of Biblical truths.

I can't be deceived because I'm a Christian!

The Bible speaks of a certain time at the end of the age where deceivers will become commonplace and there will be so much confusion that truth will become rare, few will speak it.Matt 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you."For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many." To those who believe. Luke 21:8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them. The word he is not in the original translation. So we have Jesus warning of mean saying they are Christ (or christed- anointed) and men saying "I am", saying they are God (i.e. the new age and word faith teachers)

Bickle's Bible Botching

Mike Bickle-the leader of the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City, Missouri-is revered by many people in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement as a sound Bible teacher, as someone who majors on teaching people the written Word of God. But I have noticed something disturbing about his teachings. The Bible verses he uses to support them frequently have nothing to do with those teachings-and sometimes they actually teach something very different.

What is called the rapture (the removal of the believers upwards, the church meets Jesus in the air) is when the living saints are transformed to be in immortal like Christ. If you do not believe in the rapture then you cannot believe in the resurrection, they are both joined together as the same event, nearly simultaneously.
